Robongo
He's got a few years on a lot of the guys and is still pretty small. Guys gotta start gaining some mass.

John Madden made his living as a chippy defensive centre and he is skinny.Ryan Kesler was super skinny his first couple of years.

DeNiro
He's got a few years on a lot of the guys and is still pretty small. Guys gotta start gaining some mass. Who cares? It's not hurting him from having one of the best shots in junior. That's his strength. Not every player is going to be a hulking powerforward. -Vintage Canuck-
Canucks prospect Dane Fox swaps his stick for a microphone as he plays reporter for the day and interviews fellow prospects Bo Horvat and Miles Liberati.
Boudrias
With some players it is the mental approach to the game more than the physical side. Fox had questions along that line and it affected his drafting. In a mature environment surrounded by NHL coaching he might respond well. If not he will be gone and nothing really lost. Putgolzin
I foresee him having a great AHL career (maybe akin at least to a Jason Jaffray?) and hopefully he can translate that into a top-six role in the NHL

Not every player is going to be a hulking powerforward. The AHL is a big step up from juniors and his skating and overall fitness need a lot of work. Having a good shot will only get you so far. He did just get signed this year, so perhaps he was just lacking some guidance when it came to training/dieting.

NEON.KNEE
I love how many player development type professionals frequent and post on these forums! I like this kid's sense of humor and every highlight I see of him he's burying the puck...He should easily be AHL player of the year, potential NHL top 6, or future KHL/SEL HoF'er no? DeNiro
Did anyone see the first goal he scored today? Holy crap, what a shot. That's his bread and butter. If he can round out the other parts of his game and add some more muscle, he could be a good player at the next level. Put him in a shooting position and the guy can bury it. EliasSkywalker
Just needs a couple years in Utica honing his skills and learning to become a professional. Hopefully the Canucks can keep him inline as he's quite promising. Yeah, I hope that Fox and Gaunce can rip it up in Utica the way they played well together on the Erie Otters. Who knows, with Shinkaruk on their line, maybe they could be the Canucks answer to the Toffoli, Vey, Pearson line of the LA Kings farm team in Manchester when they dominated in the AHL. DownUndaCanuck
Probably going to be no more than a 3rd liner in the NHL. Plenty of overagers have success in the AHL but never make the transition. He'd be a great injury fill-in and give great competition to our young kids at best.

Whale Tail
Even if he only makes it as a 3rd liner. A 3rd liner who can score goals and fight in the corner sounds like a perfect guy for the team. Here is the link to the Fox goal. Its the last 4 vs 4. Gaunce, McCann, Shink, Valk, Stewart, Martin score as well than goes to a shoot out.http://video.canucks.nhl.com/videocenter/console?id=628464&catid=
