Mentioned that the true ability of a pro player is shown in his ability to take his game to another level under challenging circumstances and that with Bachman out, Demko's doing just that. Demko, a native of San Diego, Calif., was selected by the Canucks in the second round of the 2014 NHL Draft and was the winner of the Mike Richter Award as the NCAA's most outstanding goaltender this past April with Boston College. The 20-year-old has a 7-4-1 record with a 2.47 goals against average and .914 save percentage in 13 AHL games this season.
