Watch Calgary sign him.

At least he'd be familiar with a couple of players there ... Tanev and Marky

(As many as with the Canucks  ... of the 38 players he played with in his last year here, 5 years ago, only Horvat and Boeser remain!!)

They had enough on their plate in terms of signing players.  Besides, they have just as much cannabis stench as

what Vancouver has:gocan:  Try doesn't like that.

Curtis Valk is paid about the same as Nik, Linden Vey is paid more than Nik, Phillip Larsen makes about 250,000 more per season than Nik

There are going to be numerous reasons for Nik to re-assess his career, and the country he calls home by Christmas.

I just can’t see how the KHL will finish the season with all of the sanctions that are slowly strangling it economy,.  The fan attendance numbers that barely support the league (avg.6000 per game), is going to shrivel like a California Rasin.

KHL season ends on February 26th. And I don't think Automobilist has a goalie to get them to the playoffs.

.. I even wonder if the economy in Russia will survive the Winter to support attendance in the KHL Hairy.

Would be nice if our (Canuck) new and sudden Russian Players Contingency was an attraction for Nik.

His signing here might be a great “show me” move if we have a playoff team.

Isnt there a contract window closes that in the NHL for Free Agents before the playoffs?

I beleive the TDL is March 21st,  perhaps that is the same date?

I believe he’ll have to pass through waivers though.
