McCann entered the zone, was along the boards, and simply just passed it off in the middle with a trailing Vrbata coming in from the other side. Heads up play is about as much as I'll say for McCann there. But for a NHLer and the rep he has an offensive playmaker, that's just a regular play...I mean if Vrbata shoots and misses the net or gets stopped, no one says anything and it's just looked as a normal pass, like it was. But whatever, I'm done lol.

And no pp quarterback Benning had a chance to address it and went out and got Bart not to mention he traded both garrison and bieska for next to nothing. Every fan and analyst recognized this. Lol, Bieksa for nothing. Garrison didn't have a great year with us before we traded him. Just because he's real good in Tampa, doesn't mean he was real good for us. PONCHE
Anyone else find it interested how heavily Canucks were used in that piece on the refs? (Sutter, Hamhuis, Linden) Given our teams history with league officials, and our fan base insisting that the refs are out to get us.... I wonder if it was meant as some kind of a good faith gesture with SN playing the role of mediator.

So surely you must have some sort of opinion on how to fix it? Or are you just speaking and hoping no one is listening? And they truly are. Dump and chase, soft as cheese, lack of skill, 20 minute efforts, no chemistry, no offense defensiveman so on and so on. As a fan and an observer I only see what I can see which is the product on the ice. What goes behind the scene is not my business, do you expect any fans to know who is available through trade? We had a Cody Franson (who is miles ahead of Weber) on the UFA market and did not do anything, for example. As for the other quote regarding Miller, he's and average - below average goalie who is getting paid like a top 10 goalie. I would take a Sekera and Lack over Miller any day of the week. Unfortunately, when Minny took runs at them, no-one on our team stood up for them...guess the kids are on their own. Weber is just as useless as I thought. For the most part (Sedins excepted) we are unable to gain possession in the O zone or generate any kind of offensive pressure. Refs - cheap shot late on Virt by Suter = no call. Late hit by Dumba (retaliatory) on Virt = no call. Not hard to see why Minny has such a good home record when they are aloud to run amuck like that. Being tied 1-1 is very complimentary to our boys so far. Yes...to all of the above....hopefully they will come out with a bit more fire in the second....and stop being such pussies ... Problem is that it just looks like propaganda given Sportsnet isn't exactly a bastion of professionalism. If they really want us to stop blasting the refs, they should talk to the officials and convince them to clean up their act.

oldnews
I saw Canada vs the Swiss with Sbisa and Nino in Saskatoon - aside from the finish (I think it was 5-0 Canada) you could really see the progress in Swiss hockey - could skate with Canada, were physical, just had a slight lag on the depth of skillsets.
