Miller is a UFA after this season and all Vegas will have to do is submit an offer to him (and they get to keep their draft pick!!). If Vegas wanted Miller that bad they would just take him in the expansion draft. Why give up assets (1st round pick) to get someone you could have for free. Vancouver will not protect Miller, then he's a UFA so he could stay or go, but Vegas will have the time to figure it out. That first round pick can be Nico Hischier, what do you think is more important to a new franchise. A 36 year old goalie with maybe 1 (2 tops) years left. Put this one up there with __________(insert Canuck trash) for ____________(another teams player that is better than any we have). I know McPhee is not the sharpest tool in the shed and probably cost Vancouver Gretzky back in the day but this would be far far worse than anything else he has done/could do.
