Green Building Posted January 5, 2017 Share Posted January 5, 2017 Whatever your feelings on Gudbranson are doesn't change the fact that there would be many many teams lining up to pay 5 mil per year for a 24 year old defenceman with his skill set. Go read the trade thread, you'll see that. Gudbranson is a horrible player. He doesn't provide offense, he doesn't drive possession, he doesn't prevent goals, he just throws hits. That's all he does. He's a faster Jared Cowen, and Jared Cowen is out of the league. The trade was just horrible, and our improved (but likely not sustainable) performance since his injury is proof of that. Its all Megna, have we lost with Megna on the top line? Pinning the record on Gudbranson being out of the lineup is about as valid as pinning the wins on Megna being on the top line.
