The sedins just never learned how to find the middle ground between playoff hockey and regular season hockey.

You have to sympathize with d sedin getting taken off the ice every time versteeg baits him in 2010 and then him getting speedbagged but its his fault for not adapting

Unfortunately, thats how it played out

This game was a little teaser of what Pettersson can do, but lets not forget there's not much physicality at this camp. That'll be the big knock on his game and something he has to improve on, but he's a big frame out there on the ice. Lets hope he and Dahlen have a good SHL year and learn a thing or two from the Sedins about staying strong on your skates along the boards. I really hope they get some time to train and practice with Henrik and Daniel because they're the perfect mentors.

Dahlen and Pettersson are going to make Canucks hockey exciting again with that level of skill.

Throw Boeser and horvat in the mix and things are lookin pretty good.

He's a game breaker for sure, definitely struggles along the wall though. I'm sure a year in the SHL playing wing will help him a lot in board battles, not to mention a few extra pounds and some added strength.

Overall couldn't have asked for much more from him in this game. He's composed on the breakout, and very good in the neutral zone. Decent defensively as well.

Will be exciting for him and Gaudette to battle in out for top 6 mins in a couple years.

I can get used to seeing more of  this. For now I just can't stop watching this...

I am looking forward to seeing alot more of this for the foreseeable future whether it is overseas or in a Comets/Canucks uniform.  He used the same manouver in the SO didn't he, he can probably change up and shoot before going backhand to throw the goalie off.  Now get him some swedish meatballs stat....

Sick highlight video.  His ability to pick corners and guide the play with his passing is elite level already.  Don't know who we've had in the history of the Canucks that would be a good comparable...Naslund would be the closest but that doesn't quite fit.  THAN had his comparable as Zetterberg ceiling.... nothing wrong with that.

Hey all of you!

I'm Swedish, and I'm a huge supporter of the Lakers (Petterson and (hopefully) Dahléns team in Sweden). I'm here to answer any questions you might have, and also giving you some inside information and (if you want) some translation of any interview they're doing over here this season.
I'm gonna try to give you some type of report of how they're playing too.

Looking forward to your posts!

Hey welcome to CDC. Happy to have your input around here :)

First question is, who are the best players under contract for Vaxjo for next year? Seems like a lot of players moved to other teams, or to the NHL.

Cheers

Välkommen. Vem kommer att vara hans troliga ledare nästa år med tanke på vem som är kvar på sitt SEL-lag?  (please pardon errors in punctuation - not my strong suit)

Thanks!

Well, that's a very interesting question... It sort of depends. If you look at our d-men we have Eric Martinsson (similar to Holm in style) and a very interesting player in Joel Persson. Persson has a style which reminds you of Erik Karlsson, so he's going to be very interesting to watch. Does he have what it takes to make it in the SHL and then NHL? Well, time will tell.

If you take a look at forwards we have a lot of talent! Players like Nils Carnbäck (will make it to the NHL, no doubt. Reminds me of "Capitals" Marcus Johansson) Ludwig Wistén, Adam Brodecki (hand like... just wow. The potential he has...)

Funny thing about Växjö Lakers is that we have a center called Robert Rosén, who's such a talent. He could be a huge asset to any NHL team. He has eyes and passing-abilities like Peter Forsberg. Sad that he's never played in the NHL...

IMO, Dahlen needs to be in Utica, not Sweden
