I'm a little disappointed someone with the last name 'Keeper' didn't become a goalie.

A few years back there were a couple of pitchers in MLB named "Walk" and "Homer"...can't make this stuff up...

Brady keeper - seems to have positive progress every season. Lots of pims but showed in his last mj season he can also stay out of the box of he wants to.

Zach whitecloud - trend shows a steep increase in success in his second season for each league. Fewer pims than keeper but still an aggressive player by the looks of it.

Canucks need a lot more d-men prospects and these are d-men prospects.

It's a tough market to sign college FA's though but hope we get a few.

We actually have decent D prospect depth. What we lack is guys who clearly project to top 4 and especially top pair.

Blue chip guys.

There's pretty much Juolevi and...

Not sure Whitecloud or Keeper qualify but hey, more depth isn't a horrible thing either.

Yes, if by "depth" you mean a large collection of guys who will probably never make an impact in the NHL, then yes...we have that. But, once in a while, one of them surprises - like the guy who is currently the best D-man on the team. So in that respect, better to get multiple lottery tickets.

But when I look at a team like Calgary, it's hard not to get jealous. They already have at least 1 guy who is better than any D-man we have had in the history of our franchise (Giordano...who was coincidentally a FA signing). Then they also have Hamilton, who is better than any D we currently have on the team, and still young to boot. Then they also have 2 solid (though struggling) guys in Brodie and Hamonic. And then they have two very good prospects on their AHL team, in Andersson and Kylington.  And they have a breakout NCAA star in Adam Fox in the system.

And despite all of that, Calgary STILL took a D-man with their 1st round pick last year - something the Canucks have done only once in the last 12 years (Juolevi). Compounding that problem, Canucks have also picked a D-man in the 2nd round only once in the last 10 years (Sauve).

We need more high draft choice D, more low draft choice D, and more NCAA FA D - simply put, we need D-men.
