Great game Markstrom, if he didn't outright steal this then he came really close.

Jake is becoming a force now that he isn't benched for not hitting, even though his defensive numbers have declined compared to the last 2 years.

The Preds looked like a team that was missing 3 top 6 forwards and a top 2 dman. Their goalie looked Roxied.

The team looked better managed, they laid back at the start instead of burning out after two periods.

Next a short 3 games on the road.

I am a big EP40 fan. But how does he get an assist on Edlers goal? He passes to Edler. Then Edler passes to Goldy. Then Goldy back to Edler and he scores. Does not the second time edler touches the puck negate EP's pass?

The last two Canucks to touch the puck get the assists lol.

I thought Marky was our weakest link, again.

Jake is great!  He is becoming a force.

Preds looked like an ordinary team, with all their current injuries.

Our guys pounded them pretty easily, and the score would have even been more one-sided if not for Marky.

Is Jake playing like he did when he was having success as a rookie, before they demanded him to be a defensive specialist or sit?

Man I hope Jimbo signs Edler before it's too late. Give him what he wants, he's loyal and reliable. Put Schaller on waivers and bring up Gagner Jim. Come on man.

rumour has it the Hawks may be interested in Gags (according to Friedman)

And as for your quick return - we'll train you - you know we will - you'll see the light

Woke up this morning thinking about that penalty shot deke.

Wow. Deked out one of the best goalies in the league.

Also, did anyone catch Shorty and Garrett's comments on Tolvanen throwing his hands up at Josi for an ill advised pass? Lol

Millenials...

I cant see Boeser or Horvat doing that. Maybe Petterson lol.

I like Goldy and am hoping he figures it out. But I cringe every time he gets scared when he thinks he's going to get hit and just dishes the puck off as quick as he can. It's like he has some sort of frady cat reflex that just won't allow him to take a hit, he can't help himself. He's good enough to put points up for now, but he is very soft when it comes to contact. But I do like that he's been trying to back check more and be aggressive on the puck to try and steal it away. He's getting there I think, but he just does not want to get hit.

You can't be chicken in this league, you have to take some lumps here and there. The one pass last night that had me boiling at him was when he just threw it at Boeser when he was getting pressured, all he did was pass the grenade to Boeser and he got hit instead. That does not win your team mates over at all. You can't put guys in danger like that.

Whenever there is a puck battle,it's almost a sure thing the opponent comes out with the puck.

I think markstrom played good. Truth is, he is not what Luongo was. Marky is a reliable average starting goalie who is good enough to be a starter in this league. His stats are poor because he plays for the Canucks. If he has better defensemen his save percentage could easily be up another .15/.20 which makes his numbers more respectable. I don’t see how marky should be faulted for playing behind such poor defense the Canucks has

Not really (look at the end of 2018 exit media) but we won't fall out about it. We are all glad he has seen the light and is playing to people's original expectations.

Watching the video right now, he doesn't look like the Pillsbury Doughboy that he was a year and a half prior.
