I have Miller on the top line at LW, as he's played mostly LW and C throughout his career so far. I have Ferland where you have Miller. I also have Baertschi above Pearson, as I don't expect Pearson to continue at the 30-goal pace he was scoring with us and think Baertschi is more of a sure thing as long as he's healthy. I have Leivo and Eriksson swapped, but I'm not sure which wing either of them play, so that's neither here nor there.

Whatever the lineup will be it will sure be an exciting season upcoming. After watching a ferland goals scored video and being reminded how good his shot i can't help but imagine boeser and ferlands shots with petey, as well as peteys protection.

With Roussel on LTIR I think the PK will be the main reason for Eriksson to be on the playing roster. If he is somehow traded, probably Schaller takes that spot.

I think Roussel becomes our top PK guy if Eriksson is traded and if not, slots into our 2nd unit. I don't see Schaller having a regular spot in the NHL on our team, but if he did, he can play the PK.

What I would like:

 

Miller - Pettersson - Boeser

 

Miller brings good grit and puck retrieval to let the skilled guys score. Hoping we have a tough D man on the ice at all times to protect the kids.

 

Baertschi - Horvat - Pearson

 

Bo and Pearson can play gritty but Baertschi's skill and playmaking can really lift the two powerforwards offence.

 

Ferland - Sutter - Roussel

 

Hardest line to play against but also has skill, also this team can still use some veteran leadership which Sutter brings.

 

Leivo - Beagle - Virtanen

Gaudette

Eriksson (hopefully traded)

Goldobin

Motte

 

4th line will be a revolving door of whoever isn't consistent sits out. We've got plenty of depth up front to not need an AHL call up for a while in case of injuries. A very deep offence full of 40 point scorers.

 

Edler - Stecher

 

Great chemistry last year, let's see if Stecher can take his game to another level yet.

 

Hughes - Myers

 

Tanev could play alongside Hughes but I'd rather Myers protect him, also Myers is a surprisingly good skater who can keep up with him.

 

Benn - Tanev

 

Great shutdown duo who can play 20 mins easily when a top guy gets injured.
