If the Canucks can win most of their games against non-playoff teams and some games against playoff teams, they have a shot.

Math:  80% in 41 games = 65.6

            40% in 41 games = 32.8

Total  98.4

If the %'ages add up to > 100  it's good 115% is a playoff bubble team with 94 points

Edler(A)-Myers

Almost there Green

just need to waive Schaller

move Leivo to line 4

insert Gaud into line 3

I would really rather see a third of  Pearson-Gaud-Baer

With Green stacking Miller, Bo and Elias on the first PP, our second PP is icing Sutter at centre.

Sutter on the powerplay.  Leivo is sort of forgivable but Sutter, Ugh.

am just trying to be a realist

not a debby downer type

nyr are not really a top tier team

1/2 the league are the better teams

yet you can point to only 2 the nucks have played so far

let's see how they do playing 4 in 6 nights

where 3 of the teams are in a playoff spot

if they perform in that scenario

my confidence is increased

last season this team started out pretty well also

a much tougher schedule though

i'd like them to be able to play to a 100 point pace

but that will require them to beat a fair percentage of better teams

they have played too few of those so far

so i'm really hoping they elevate the realistic expectations of fans

by beating tougher opponents

I understand you are being a realist. The team has improved talent wise with the new additions - Miller, Hughes, Meyers, Benn, Ferland (it will come). They are playing very well right now and have had decisive victories against the lower teams. But, yes we will have to wait and see as usual. But I am optimistic this year.

So stoked for the game.

I really hope Ferland has a great game with Horvat and Virtanen!!

Edit: we know he probably only has a few shifts to gel as Green will throw the lines in a blender if Ferland does not play great for the first five minutes.

Really hope these lines jive..I like the balance

Would rather see Baer in there myself.

Any truth to in the comment that they want to move on from Baer?  Heard it on the radio (:picard:) but not from the Canucks

Baer agent had a meeting with Green and JB. Apparently it was a good one. Baer will probably get first call up if one is needed.

Love how Green isn't afraid to mix it up. Was concerned about that early on. Also love how he's keeping Ferland together with Virtanen and giving Jake a boost of confidence on the top line.

Same goes for Jake, he looks like a beast with Bo. However, he’s got to have a good 5-10 games with Bo, to solidify his spot there.
