Great atmosphere, epic come back to tie it. So much emotion in the arena it was great. by the end of it even my gf was ooin and ahhin with all the close plays. Guys that stood out / thoughts Demko was up and down. Made some incredible saves and then let in one or two he could of wanted back. Not his best performance but not his worst for sure. Gaudette... What can I say about this kid. Love the emotion. Best celly on the team, arena just went crazy on both his goals. No way can you send him down. The gaudette line was the best line out there all night, always looked dangerous Petey had a bunch of great looks as well as some great setups. He's still producing, just not sniping the corners like he was last season. It'll come Boeser looked really good. Moved his feet, made decent passes. Miller solid again. Really works hard and is very skilled at keeping possession. Horvat, besides the face off ot, he was killing it in the dot. Had a couple sweet dangles that almost lead to a goal. Hughes is so fun to watch. Unreal poise and skating ability. Never had anyone like him on our team. Erikson is basically a 6m penalty killer now. Invisible otherwise. One thing I didn't like is how often we give up the puck on changes and just the dump and chase strategy we tend to employ. Colorado is much better at maintaining possession and skating it in. MacKinnon is a straight savage As soon as he touched the puck in ot i said "oh f%*#" aloud and he sure enough skated around everyone and sniped it home. Him and mcdavid are so fun to watch when they get their legs going. Bummed we didn't get the 2 points but man what a game to be at. The Avs are a now powerful team up against an up and coming team (both dealing with injuries). This game showed where both teams are. The Canucks didn’t lose the game, the Avs won. I thought the Canucks effort was good, goaltending was good (maybe the 3rd goal back) Up against any other team not one of the NHL’s best, the Canucks win. McKinnon is a stud. Crosby 2.0. You no longer stop McKinnon, you just try to minimize the damage. The Canucks 3rd goal, didn't we have a similar situation a few games ago. Wasn’t it Tanev, down, then limping badly on 1 leg, and the other team scored? But still, a head shot, blow the whistle. The Canucks bench was shortened for almost 2 periods. Why dress LE21 if you’re not gonna play him? And Graovac, probably better against the heavier slower teams, not the faster teams. Patiently waiting for the injured to return.
