Sorry, you were just to overboard on your claims, and you backed it up profusely. I don't feel any bigger than Are you mad bro" but you needed to be called out for blatant ignorance.

Anyways let's cheer on the Canucks you have out in 6. :towel:

Fair enough. My tune did change throughout that series if you looked at that thread.

Then again I use this forum to vent so do get emotional some times.

Anyways, let finish the Blues off. Let's go boys so I can gloat to my Blues buddy.

Oh ya, seeing Tkachuk like that, and their fans take a punch was fun. Not big on Dallas goaltending. I find Benn slow and lazy and some of the other forwards will have issues with the Avs transition game. Heiskanen and Makur will be fun and I suspect Mackinnon is going to fly through the neutral zone at will. Time will tell and it will be a good watch.

I don't see MacKinnon (absolutely is not happening) flying through the neutral zone at all. I'm not sure about your hockey background but that ain't going to fly. Haha, see what I did there?

Also, Benn is not lazy and he is fully engaged. I'm not sure what old news report you're reviewing in in your own mind but it's circumspect.

To each their own. I'm terrified of Vegas but Dallas has always been the second best team in this conference in my mind. Hopefully we find out which one is worse. :emot-parrot:

All good and we can revisit at series end. Discussions and opinions are what this is about, part of the fun. Agreed, will be a good watch with what may be the best up and coming team vs a more veteran team.

Man, does that ever look dangerous.

I kind of remember this play, and thought to myself at the time that it was such a dirty attempt to stop Miller, and then I paid attention to Miller afterwards. Thankfully he was fine.

I guess unless he slices the tendon in Miller's leg, then there's no penalty. Pretty sure kicking isn't allowed in hockey. Ridiculous. Thank goodness the blade hit Miller's padding.

Don't forget last season when we beat them twice and lost in a shoot out in the very last game of the year. So 7-1-3 against the champs over the past 11. I'd say they are worried.

Oh, right! What that means is that we have a damn good chance of at least splitting the last two possible games. Hopefully we end their season tonight!

Did the skate actually make contact with Miller? I would like to see another angle.

Exactly, It's super fun and I love talking with you guys. I know I'm a jerk sometimes so please forgive my jerkness. I'm working on that all the time.

I really do appreciate your clean, honest, on edge, and yet positive view. Your posts are always thought provoking and enlightening. We really tend to get down on ourselves as human beings and we shouldn't.

I think so? My memory isn't the greatest (thank you cannabis), but I recall the blade hitting Miller's leg, and I was concerned it hit the side/back, where there's less padding. Might've been an accident? Who knows.

STL to me, seem dirty, like BOS. They'll do whatever they have to to win, even if that means crossing the line. They're the reigning champs right now and on the brink of being eliminated by some kids lol Berube is probably pi**ed, and being the player he was (a goon) - maybe he orders his players to headhunt and injure if they have to, to win. I'm concerned for Petey and Hughes, but also Markstrom. The Canucks D have to be careful guys like Perron and Schenn do not touch Marky. They'll be crashing the crease.

All I remember is the elbow as that was what I was focused on in which he did get a penalty. Unless this pic is from a different incident, but I don't think so.

His skate might have just grazed Miller’s pants:

Regardless, it’s very dangerous. Barbashev launches himself airborne, targets the head, and then swings his leg around with his skate blade slicing very close to Miller’s leg (if not actually contacting him). Barbashev is probably just trying to keep his balance, but he shouldn’t be jumping backwards into a player, and swinging his elbow at their head, so I don’t really put much value on the “balance” defence. Dangerous play from the start, and only lucky he didn’t slice open Miller’s leg, while also concussing him with the head shot. Fortunately, Miller was fine, because that sequence could have been so much worse.
