Not shocked...just flat footed and unable to counter that. You can't prepare for the schedule that you're dealt....but it REALLY plays in to the Habs favour right now. Their schedule's a breeze and they definitely have more gas in the tank to work with. So what was the reasoning from their previous blow out losses to Montreal? I respect the fatigue factor but there’s no sugar coating this; they simply sucked!!

Guest
Did anyone else notice JT Miller sulking this year and getting frustrated with his teammates? Am I looking into his demeanor too much?

CRAZY_4_NAZZY
^^ John Shorthouse rarely ever sounds annoyed with the team, but he thoroughly sounded restless as the rest of us were too of the performance today. 1 1

Jack Fig
Tanev scores from 130 feet away. Canucks surrender 23 breakaways. And it's only Monday.

Am I looking into his demeanor too much? Didn't really notice, but I can see it from Miller. He's frustrated, as I am sure other players are as well. But tonight, he played like garbage, and he needs to be yelling at himself, not his teammates.

Maybe the wrong third liner is in the dog house. Ive been a big supporter of the hockey Gaud, but i dont know how much more they will get out of that kid. Hes 24 years old and not particularly good at any one thing. Face offs, board battles, toughness, vision on the ice etc. When I watched him play at Northeastern in my mind his line mate Sikura (went to Chicago) was the straw that stirred the drink. The gaud got plenty of goals from his wheel house on the PP but what made him stand apart in College was his motor. Thats just not enough to get you by in the NHL. Not that tonight was his fault in particular....he just looks like a player that has not much more to give. The star players were not good today. I agree. Jake is and can become an even better third line player for us. His defensive awareness is actually not too bad. And apparently, if someone hits him, he will hit back hard! Gaudette on the other hand is in the no man's land. He's like Baertschi. Good offensive skills but can't win board battles and not tough enough to play on Bo's line. Not enough offence to be a first line player. He doesn't win board battles and he doesn't have a feisty defensive game like Motte to be a third liner and definitely not a 4th liner. Honestly, I'd trade Gaudette to address other needs of the team. Should've done it in the off season, should've dump a salary with Gaudette as a sweetener and re-sign Tanev or Toffoli. 3
