Petey shows he cares by working harder.  By getting out there and refining his skills.

 

He's not a super emotional guy, it's just not his make up ... you won't see many outbursts from him.  He'll shoot the puck harder or go back at a guy but he isn't the type to scream and yell.  It does NOT indicate a lack of caring about the game.  At all.

He does seem to make excuses and sugar coat things a little too much.

 

I would like to see us with a couple new assistants before Green gets the axe. I think he felt he owed Baumer but it’s clear that he’s in over his head. And Browns work speaks for itself. There’s no way this team should have a power play this poor with their personnel.

I'd start there too.   Green, himself, seems to have a pretty good rapport with his players and I don't know that he's really an issue.  I agree with cutting some assistant coaches....our pp desperately needs a fresh take.  Some movement and creativity for sure.  

 

I also wonder how much Manny leaving has impacted the team...he's a really solid coach and it went beyond just face offs.

He was joking about Toffoli in his comments. His team has been losing badly to Montreal so far. I just don’t think they are appropriate for where they are at. I am basing it on what he said. If you want to defend him because you like him, great but the season is slowly slipping away. I guess your ok with that attitude and you can be but I am not.

Yea Benn has been fine.

 

Baumers thinking that Chatfield could continue to play as a regular with Edler was pretty naive.

 

I would like to see this coaching staff be a little more proactive with managing fatigue. They seem to go with the same roster even after a poor loss. Swapping Virtanen out as your only move after an embarrassing loss is pretty weak.

He had a great connection with the prospects and was a mentor for some of them....been a few changes that are taking some time to adjust to.

It’s not that we don’t match up. It’s that we look completely outclassed. It’s called making adjustments which this team doesn’t know how to make.
