No, he needs that number of games to meet the minimum requirements of an unprotected d-man who is under contract for next season and has played that minimum number of games this year. Right now only Myers and Schmidt meet the minimum requirements and therefore one of them would need to be unprotected as it stands today. Juolevi is eligible to be selected by Seattle, if unprotected, a he has more than 2 pro seasons.
