Idiotic move to start Holtby over Demko

Not really idiotic. It’s hard to ride a goalie this season given the condensed schedule. See Markstrom. Now he’s hurt.

Must be deflating after being in the o zone for awhile.  HOLTBY has to make those saves at that time of the game - how did this guy win the Vezina, was he going against Broissant and Nelson that year.

The team played well but the goalie is not ready to play this game - poke check; poke check; poke check !!!

Demko played well last night, but still unproven as a starter.  Holtby is a proven winner, needs to get in with some action for sure.

He was brought in as a backup to Demko

team lost 4 in a row and finally wins, play the hot hand....always

plus we had 3 full days off prior to last night

ahl coach move

Holtby not good. I still dont get why Demko didnt get the start since we need wins now. Maybe Green is giving up on the season. It doesnt matter if its a back to back game since they had couple of rest days prior.

I agree and this is one of the reasons he has not been doing his job well for player ice time as well. Too much of this overplaying his top guns and not running with the hot goaltender.

This has been one of their biggest challenges this season. They seem to let that kind of mistake and goal get to them.  Especially at the end or beginning of a period.

They are gonna have to learn to get over it if they want to take positive strides moving forwards. Defeatist attitudes need not apply.

Get your fact straight...Holtby is not a backup, he is supposed to replace Marky and continues to give time for Demko to develop.

That was in 2016.  He's been bad for a couple of years now.
