It's clear to me that the players haven't bought into King's pp systems.

What else could explain the ineptitude of the powerplay and PK?

Who's in charge of the PK? Don't tell me is Baumgartner.

Shaw runs the PK

Obviously we’re missing our foundation player Brandon Sutter which is why we’re losing!

I mean you're joking but...

Brandon Sutter is EXACTLY what this team could use right now.  Wins faceoffs and is a great PKer.

Our main forwards on the PK last year were: Beagle, Motte, Sutter and then a mixture of Loui, Highmore, etc...

They're all gone at the moment, all of them!

I remember so many times, and Cheech even mentioning it that Beagle winning a faceoff back to Myers and out the zone was pretty much a set play for us to start a PK.

I look at all the draws they lost on the PK tonight. It seemed pretty bad.

 Which gets me thinking… wasn’t Dickinson brought here to be a defensive specialist… a beagle /sutter replacemnet…

he’s flying under the radar imho .. he looks invisible to me

Everytime I watch Petey I feel like even if he doesn't get knocked down, he will somehow eventually stumble and fall on his own. You technically don't even need to defend very hard against him these days. Pretty much just breathe in his direction and he'll fall over.

Better team 5 on 5 & the special teams cost us again.

Seems like they are trying to move the puck back & forth at the top until they get a shot... It's never going to happen. They just get pressured until they turn it over.

Gotta get the puck downlow. The coaching staff needs to make that the point of emphasis, then the point shots will come. (Look at NSH tonight on the GWG)

Shaw is genius. So much hype with him being brought in for a new perspective to the team. He lets King take the lead and Green to dig his own grave so he can take over

Looking forward to hearing Supreme Chancellor Shaw's speech about how much he loves democracy

On to other news kraken won more games at home then us... if we are below them in the standing comes Christmas I swear there better be a coaching change. This isn't last year and stop blaming on covid. If they can do bag skates and survive what's covid have to do with the team meshing or not.  There's a difference playing for the love of the game and playing hard to earn a large paycheque then disappear. I think linden knew the inside scope on the organization and dashed as quick as possible.

These PGT’s are becoming painful, enter at your own risk, folks.

#firegreen #firebenning are the most popular demands, but don’t expect  these things until contracts simultaneously expire.

Rookies & newbies are fast earning our respects. Just, wishing that the coaching staff could reward players exhibiting the most passion, a little more often.

Myers stated things plain & simply. It’s all about getting more effective practices in to evolve the PP & the PK, which all ties into the team’s fortunes ahead.

^That’s on the coaching staff. Voices must be heard & the team must buy into the system whole-heartedly. Does it encourage enough creativity? Is it fun to play or  watch? Is it a successful system for all of the cogs in the machine? Who’s been hot & who’s not? Rolling 4 effective lines also gets players much more involved & in a far better head-space. Asset management in that regard, has been questionable, yes.

Another season cannot get-away without some more strides being made.  Regardless, we will prepare for more change, because Benning’s last kick at the can is pretty much done.

Again its not because of the lack of practice or more effective practice but the system they run is not a winning system in this league. The PP formation and the PK playing passive will not look great even with tons of practice. This is like doing weights and body building your whole life but having bad posture, bad diet and targetting only certain muscles. Theny need to change the way they play not practice what is not working :picard:
