Ya and they are not just streaks. It’s like 15 games in between or one assist in 15 games. You never see superstars have cold slumps like that.

Yep that’s why it’s time to start looking at some trades.

You can’t pay star money to players that don’t perform like stars.

Best to get value for a guy like Boeser while the league still views him as a star.

thats what happens when your Russian and probably on HGH....they like to cheat. heres a red flag...you do not get better as you get older

If he's using hgh, he'll have to spend a lot of money for new hats and tumor removal treatments.

So obvious the nucks lack offensive finishers.  So many high quality chances, fanned on, miss the net, or shoot at goalie.  Other teams have finishers that make us pay. We don't.

Ya and do we really want players that fold under pressure or go on these long slumps so often? It shows they are so mentally weak. Problem is we need to get those players at the draft which means we need to rebuild. AGAIN.

over the course of a full season, do you feel this team is:

a) t-5 in the league

b) 6-10

c) 11-16
d) 17-24
e) 25-32

Cup favorites: Florida, Tampa, Hurricanes, Colorado, Vegas. These are teams without any glaring weakness. Super stars, depth scoring, #1D, good to excellent goaltending. And these teams can play any style of game and still come out with a win.

Contenders: Toronto, Washington, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, NYR. These teams have perhaps one weakness that could be exploited in a playoff series or their star power isn't quite at the level of the cup favorites.

Playoff teams: Minnesota, Boston, Nashville. Almost a lock to make the playoffs but unlikely to go far in the playoffs for various reasons.

Playoff bubble teams: LA, Anaheim, San Jose, Calgary, Edmonton, Dallas, Winnipeg, Chicago (post coaching change).

Out of the playoffs: Detroit, Columbus (these two teams would be playoff bubble team in the West but East playoff spots are basically spoken for), Philadelphia, New Jersey, NYI, Buffalo, Ottawa, Montreal, Seattle, and Arizona.

We are either C or D.

- We've lost to all of the cup contenders except Aho-less Canes. So definitely not in A.
- We've barely played the teams in B but Penguins kicked our a$$ whereas we've beaten NYR. I don't think we are in B.

- We lost to Minnesota and Nashville, both were close games. We beat Boston. I think Boudreau's Canucks could make it in to C.

- We are definitely in this class right now. We have beaten other playoff bubble teams and if we do, we will be in the playoffs.

Exactly. Canucks got the Beadreau bump and went on that run vs avg teams. The switch to a more aggressive style helped for sure. However, now we are and I am sure Rutherford top understands the difference between these top eastern teams is our lack of high end talent on offense, how soft we are and also the lack of defensive depth.

Why is it so important to make the playoffs this year?
