Not sure about that? Raty played in AHL and if Giants draft Lekkerimaki in import draft its allowed for sure..

You cannot play for a CHL team and practice with a pro team.  I'm pretty sure that's not a thing.

AHL and WHL are two separate leagues, the CBA has many rules regarding practice, practicing with the AHL team while playing in another league is not going to happen at all.

Lekerimaki is too good for the CHL. If he comes over it’s the AHL for him. But if he did want to dominate the CHL and score 100 goals that would be fun to watch. He could skate with the pro guys but not formally practice with them. But being here gives him those opportunities he’s not getting in Europe.

On top of that how would that be fair to the Giants that a kid playing in your top 6 is practicing with another team half the time. Makes no sense for either team.

Come on making examples..Of course he can't play with 2 teams at same time????

Goes and trains off ice and works close with Canucks staff..

To have any positive play when the stakes ar highest after a horrible / rough year it’s unbelievably positive

really set him up for a big offseason

and next year he can really string it all together

little bit of adversity can make for a stronger player

Woo-hoo! Suck it beat writers and simpleton fans!!!!

Yup. This kid is an excellent 200 foot player, who has the knack for putting up points and scoring. He’s a lot like Mitch Marner.

Marner put up

55g 93a 148pts in 75games including PO's in the OHL in his D +1

If Lekkerimaki put up those numbers in his D+2 for the Giants next year I would be elated.

Kid is coming along nicely. Showing up when the lights are brightest. Gotta love it. He's a slow burn prospect, was always the case. I am intrigued by his development. Still not a fan of his size, but if we add size to the roster in other ways there's no reason this kid can't become an electric scoring option in our top 6 one day. But, it was always the case this kid was gonna take time to develop. Nice to see he's having a good playoff run though.

He's had injury issues this year, and mono of course. Next season will be the real test of how he's progressing.

It's funny as I see it. It wasn't that long ago the franchise was devoid of prospects, now we're sort of getting a little picky :)

Where are all these negative posters on Lekkerimaki ? Saying kids at 18 is a bust..So ridiculous the 10--15 % of posters on these sites...But expected looking for reaction..

Great to see him bounce back so fast after last injury...

Only 18 sure hope he has a great off season and free of injuries in the future..
