OK: this is crap!  The Flames are laying out the body in a mean nothingless game and "in his ultimate wisdom" the ref call the Canucks for a foul.

This is going be a running theme in these ‘Lames vs ‘ Nucks games. ‘Lames won’t waste too much muscle-energy on out of conference games, but in their division & versus elite potential conference play-off opponents,.., they just want to hurt people!

The ‘Lames won’t be taking the high road anywhere & many NHL refs are  totally incompetent traffic cops, anyway.

Watching these games does remind me how much this team relies on Hughes for pretty much everything. Missing Miller hurts our team a lot too. Would like to see the rest of our team step up more though.

Those two along with Demko are the drivers of the bus.

Without them the team seems very passive. They showed that they can cruise with their skill, but the effort just wasn’t there.

The positive takeaway was Podkolzin dragging the team back into a game. That was a determined effort from him that you love to see from young guys.

Honestly I’m worried you are actually serious.

We win the next game and it’s straight to the Cup I guess, lol.

While I realize it's just preseason, I'm frustrated that the team looks out of sync. Flames just plugged in ahlers and they played the same aggressive in your face style. Pk was aggressive and forced errors including a grade A shorty chance while we were passive.

Falling flat on our face might be a good thing. We might cut the roster down sooner and start building team chemistry

Its honestly probably best for our group to get humbled like this a few times. They have alot of work to do if they really want to get into the playoffs. Lost to 2 NHL players lol. Next game is not till thursday, Lots of practice time with the F bomb trio of Miller, Bruce and Mike lmao

I think there are 2 or 3 spots up for grabs, so I hope Bruce doesnt follow in Travis ‘ footsteps and take the whole preseason to rehearse the bottom 2 lines.

Make the cuts quick and get a complete roster, other than the couple spots, going as Early in the preseason as possible. Get them rolling as early as possible.

The team, with Miller and Hughes, is still a bubble team and could easily be on the outside looking in.  Not many ways, now, to get out of that pigeon hole, imo
