2.5 mil next year two.

Thats not what capfriendly has, it says his 1 years 1.4 million dollar contract starts next year.

Philippe Myers signed a 1 year, $1,400,000 contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Aug. 26, 2022. The contract has a cap hit of $1,400,000.

Hughes - Schenn

OEL - Bear

Dermott - T. Myers

P. Myers

Until next year when we move Tyler Myers after bonus is paid out.

Then next year:

Hughes - ???

OEL - Bear

Dermott - P. Myers

Rathbone

Boner is a goner imo.

Management not keen on another liability on the left side.

Probably goes as part of a deal that brings in a young but more two way defenseman

With how bad our D is we should take a chance on this guy, but with Stillman and Burroughs on the NHL roster and seems like Dermott is coming back soon we don't have the roster room unless we waive or trade 1 of the above 3. Should move Tyler Myers as well with retention if it means we take no salary back.

Likely to see Canucks NOT pick him P. Myers due to the collection on tweener D we already have on the NHL roster

We won enough games that some team before us will likely claim him.  That extra year extension at $1.4 million adds to his value as it is pretty cheap.

We have enough LTIR to get him and in the unlikely case everyone came back we have the ability to waive some folks and run with less than a full 13 man roster to make the cap work.

Seems like an Ok pick up for sure in a position of need for us.
