What a dreadful game which sums up our season. Blow a 4-1 lead due to sloppy defence and goaltending against a dreadful team.

Petey was on fire tonight as usual as was Kuzmenko, even Beauvillier with a few nice plays. It's as if the 3 wingers knew their jobs were on the line tonight.

Miller with another strong performance, his goal with Brock screening on the PP was too easy, and PDG really fits in nicely with Miller, I can't see management breaking up this trio, they've been very solid for Tocchet.

Garland finally decides to show up and score some goals, a massive game for him, it just so happens to be against his former team in a pointless, must-lose game though. Takes his goal tally up to 17 which is respectable, this game may have just saved him from a buyout or trade. Still, someone (or two) have to go.

Fourth line didn't do much good tonight and were victimised defensively by fringe AHLers so not great.

Hughes was electric, skating really well tonight, I like him with Burroughs, he's a bit like a poor man's Schenn who can skate better. They combine for 5 assists.

Hirose was dreadful tonight, you've got to call a spade a spade. He's been good up until now but he got bullied defensively. I think it was O'Brien who just pushed him on the screen and the point shot went in. As flashy as his skating and passing is, we need a big strong LD to compete with guys. You'd think Myers would be that guy but he's obviously not, so poor Hirose has to take the big guy and he got toyed with. Obviously he'll look better playing with Hronek but still...not a great game, we need one of Graves or Gavrikov to sort this D out. Myers was pretty bad tonight too and Bear and McWard were average, not bad at all.

Terrible game by Delia who let in 2 or 3 stinkers, you've got to think this is a comfy 4-2 win if Demko's in net but it highlights our weaknesses on defence which we still need to address.

When you look at what the contending teams have done, you see how far off we are on defence. NJD already had the deepest defence in the league and they add Hughes who wins them the game and is basically a top-4 defenceman already. You look at Edmonton who add Ekholm, the final piece of the puzzle - a solid defensive defenceman to an offensive team, and no surprise they're something mad like 16-2-1 since the acquisition.

If we can add one solid defensive guy this offseason it'll make a world of difference to this otherwise fragile D.

How does CBJ and Chicago pick up points at the end of the season to ruin their tank and give Anaheim top spot? What a waste of a season. Surely you sit all your regulars and play your worst players, instead they go out and snag points while Anaheim tanks properly.

Top shot at Bedard-Zegras-McTavish

teemu has a stall all ready for bedard :P was on tsn awile back ....i have a feeling ducks will win the bedard sweepstakes

Can't say " blown lead" if we won.

Glad that is over.
Another terrible year with a management group acting like we are a championship calibre team.
The direction the management is taking is wrong but hopefully they can do it well enough to at least turn us into a WC contender for a couple of years before JTM loses a step and all that is left is early season JT all year long.
‘Looking forward to an exciting summer of cap mismanagement and selling the future for shortcut deals.

Same direction Gillis took. And he was able to retool the supporting cast around an existing core to give us the best clubs we’ve ever had. This management is very much doing the same thing. We will be great again just like those great Gillis teams. Next season we will be over 100 points.

With the 11th overall pick at least we have a chance to get Nate Danielson. Fingers crossed.

They should walk away with one of Danielson, Moore, Reinbacher or Sandin Pellika........all of whom would be a fantastic pick at 11.

Agrre with everything you said except for Hirose. IMO he wasn't "dreadful" Yeah not his strongest game but he made some nise plays amd hey it's his 4th NHL game out of a college league so I'm still pretty impressed. I like his game and think he may stick next year.
