Yes and no.  We tend to lose our best personnel and the crap ones stick around.  Who was that drafting guy we lost before Benning got fired?

Yes, again thats natural.
They are hardly gonna come knocking on the door for the folks, we don't rate.
Or at least that's to be expected. I'm actually surpriced nobody has tempted our goalie coach away yet.

Same with the face off specialist Malhotra...

If they are good ( or at least seems to be good) at their jobs, they will gather interest around other clubs in need.

Can you provide proof as to why she was fired from either organization? You know, actual evidence. If not, you really don't have much of a case here. What Rachel has stated is quite damning, if proven to be accurate.

Funny how quickly you dismiss someone purely because she's a millennial. And that Castonguay's reputation should somehow alleviate her of responsibility, should the accusations become fact. A claim with the Human Rights Tribunal is a little more significant than someone talking shit. Interesting that you try to minimize it.

I wouldn't trust anything from Rachel Doerrie says (without corroborating evidence). She seems like someone who wants to stir up trouble.

I've worked with people like that. If a co-worker for mad at one of them and told them off, I would not only understand it, but quietly support it.

I’m guessing that if a club is looking to hire women for high management jobs there’s likely a much smaller pool of candidates.

Bro, Rachel Doerrie is 100% a millennial Karen. I could hear it the first interview , she won't have another job in the league . There is no place for people like that in any work place. Entitled drama setters

Yup, just pathetic humans in my opinion. Fishing for likes and dislikes and hoping to get through life and work by throwing accusations and popularity around instead of you know, just doing your job.

She was getting interviews all over our sports media too and there was this narrative at the beginning of the season that not only are the Canucks a tire fire on the ice they are off Ice as well and that was spear headed by that idiot.

Rachel Doerrie sucks

Those are in spite of Benning not because of him though, misses are all his fault. /sarcasm

IMHAO all our first picks were Benning except for his first draft (so Jake and Mccaan) and Pettersson (too much reporting he had to be overruled by Linden because he disagreed with the scouts and preferred Glass).  All our other high picks each year would be the guy he wanted, whether it was in agreement with what the scouts preferred.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but she's been AGM for like 14 minutes. This seems like a quick move up the ladder.

It's a fact that this generation is fortunate that in this day & age there's a shortage of workers in nearly every single profession which will afford them opportunity like no other generation has seen for decades.  The UN-Fortunate side effect of that, is that we're seeing a lot of unqualified, inexperienced people given positions that not so long ago, they wouldn't have had "a hope in hell" of getting, when there were abundant, experienced Boomer's filling those jobs - having actually earned those positions thru education, hard-work and experience - instead of being handed a job because there were few other candidates applying for the job.

For those who spent any time in Alberta, you can see the effects of what happens when employers are desperate for employees, with jobs being throw at the first living, breathing human standing on two legs to apply- with incredibly poor service, inexperience and low professional knowledge levels that Alberta is so famous for.   We're now starting to see that creep in more broadly across B.C., Canada and the USA with severe shortages of workers in most professions and industries.     Sad but True and fortunate for all the unqualified!

Are you a relative of her or something? You seem to be taking it harder than her and she was fired months ago. Who cares about Rachel, she was not really important and we have fired way more valuable people in our organization.

Even IF that was true, he should still get some credit for deferring  to his scouts and making the right call because of that. Sometimes trusting your staff is equally as important as being right about your guy.
