you know you can't trade an injured player, right? Not allowed.

We traded Samuelson last year, and he was injured for a LONG time after he arrived in FLA.

I imagine it is only wrong to not disclose a player is injured?

Booth and Ballard will be the contract dumps unless there is absolutley no market for Luongo or Schneider.

By the way learn how to spell SHIRIKOV who is this shirakov

Amazingly on his first shift Kassian would have had a breakaway if Kesler knew how to pass. And he still got switched with Weiss. And note it is "Weiss" not "Wise".

Wonder how Gillis traded for Ballard? Don't post your opinion as fact... where in the CBA does it say an injured player can't be traded? Just because GMs generally don't trade for injured players it doesn't mean they are not allowed to.

16.10. Injured Reserve List. ( a ) The Injured Reserve List is
a category of the Reserve List. A Club may place a player on
Injured Reserve only if such player is injured or disabled and
unable to perform his duties as a hockey player by reason of an
injury sustained during the course of his employment as a hockey
player, including travel with his team or on business requested
by the Club, after having passed the Club's initial physical
examination in that season. If a player fails the Club's initial
physical examination in any Season, he is not eligible for
Injured Reserve.

( b )Players on Injured Reserve may attend team meetings,
travel with the Club (at the Club's option) and participate in
practice sessions with other players on the Club's Playing
Roster. Players on Injured Reserve are prohibited from appearing
in games, participating in pre-game warm-ups with their Clubs, or
dressing in game uniforms on game days.

( c )A player who has an injury that renders him physically
unable to play hockey for a minimum of seven (7) days after the
date of injury can be placed on the Injured Reserve List. Once a
player is placed on the Injured Reserve List, the Club may
replace said player on it's NHL roster with another player.

( d ) All determinations that a player has suffered a major
injury must be made by the Club's medical staff and in accordance
with the Club's medical standards. Such prognosis must be
documented by a verification signed by the Club physician and
countersigned by a working Club executive and the Player. This
form must be filed in the League Office and a copy sent to the
NHLPA within two (2) days after the date the player is officially
added to the Injured Reserve List; if not, the Club shall be
fined.

( e ) The Commissioner may take whatever steps he deems
necessary to investigate Injured Reserve cases. In the event
that he has reason to believe that they have not been handled
properly by the involved Club, or if he determines that the Club
has used the Injured Reserve List to evade the playing roster
limit, he may take such disciplinary action against the Club as
he deems appropriate.

( f ) A player placed on the Injured Reserve List will be
ineligible to compete in NHL games for a period of not less than
seven (7) days from the date of injury. A player will be
eligible for activation beginning the 8th day following the date
of injury or any day thereafter the player receives medical
clearance to play.

Not sure where you're seeing they can't be traded

Well I was one of the few at the time who bothered to use NHL Game Center Live to look back at his las few games, in total..........and I could not believe we traded for him and said it.

Of course I was shouted down.........like Gillis obviously, all CDC looked at was a couple of youtube videos, saw he crashed the net and thought it was the second coming.

Of course at the time I had also argued giving Sammy a bit longer to recover...........but isn't Gillis strange, he likes to take on other peoples rehabs but shows little faith in our own..........Sammy, Sami and Manny say hi.

Since booth is ours now and injured, if Gillis was to get rid of him while rehabing he would just be proving to you once again that he has no faith in his peoples rehabs, so which do you want, to keep him and show faith in rehabing our own or get rid of him so you can be right again.

Pahlsson did not help us out much,
Salo although I miss him he was too big a risk for the kind of money he got, he was the oft injured canuck remember.
Manny for the whole season before he was shut down cdc was bashing how bad he was playing, you cant keep a player who is a danger to himself on the ice, even watching on tv you could tell his sight was affecting his play 9gp 0pts -3 but hey 65% faceoffs, so what we put him on the ice for faceoffs and immediately call him to the bench after ?

It seems like every trade deadline a huge chunk of salary goes on IR

Pretty sure Booth isn't working with Gillman to circumvent the cap. That said I hope we can make a big splash at the deadline then bring Booth back for the playoffs when there is no cap.

Not sure if I heard this somewhere, but I think it was partially to make room for Schroeder in the dressing room?
I think he was sitting where Booth usually sits in the dressing room.

This. As long as the injury is fully disclosed you can trade a player. We got Higgins from Florida when he was still injured (thumb).

Aside from the fact that most atheist look at the Christians as retards (you know it is true), these atheists also love to throw God in their faces when adversity arrives.

"Haha you got no luck. I am glad you suffer. Where is your God now?" :emot-parrot:

Just look at how many people poke fun at his religion for no reason. Atheists just love to use passive-aggressiveness against Christians. They think Christians are too dumb to realize passive-aggressiveness, or too nice to say anything back. Good for you people. You won the prize.

besides Luongo... all of our Florida castaways don't pan out.

No more trading with Florida unless Bjugstad or Gudbranson or Huberdeau are involved.

I have to admit I do find that the overtly religious people I know are to my mind, less sharp, but I don't think people poke fun at religion for no reason. I think the point of something like your made up quote is to say " in contact sports there is XX% risk of certain particular injuries and while we may find it convenient to thank a diety for keeping us healthy, doing so invariably asks the question of "since you kept me healthy, then you must be responsible for making me unhealthy, right?". The made up quote you put here is of that type of thing..it points out the irony in thinking when a religious person is on the possitive side of statistics, that is a gods blessing and when he is on the negative side it is not gods fault.

Just my two cents.

When it comes to Booth and his Religious aspect,he went about things the wrong way and that is why people get their backs up.
You could say he went about his past time(hunting) in the same manner,he didnt help his cause much at all.
When you push a agenda and it becomes obvious to people, people take offense to it and you get a backlash.
He got a chapel for his fellow Christians next to the locker room. I have yet to see that go down on a work site anywhere that isnt already religiously connected. So it does come across odd to me that he had a need to get that done.
Same deal with the hunting,by all means hunt! Just be sensitive that most people living in a City do not understand where food comes from and frown on it like they do pipelines. Im getting off topic..lol

It breaks down to live and let live, but dont presume whats good for you is good for all.

just my two cents...
Matthew 5:45 (Jesus explains)
God makes his sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends his rain on the just and unjust... (my paraphrase)

Personally, I think this should be countering the idea of (H)im as Cosmic Karmic Vending Machine. ie: some Christians' mindset of "if only I pray hard enough, or use the right formula of words, or do enough good things, He'll gimme what I ask for. (and protect me from what I don't want.)"

In my opinion, the verse is more of a "what happens, happens (to everybody. "blessing" or "curse")"
What's more important is what you do with what you're given.

I'm not trying to convert you or anything, but I did think your post was quite reasonable and non-inflammatory, and deserved a polite, hopefully decently thought out reply.
