The Nashville Predators place

Forward Brandon Sutter on waivers.

@Primal Optimist

Brandon Sutter has cleared Waivers, you will need to declare if you are actually sending him down though...

This would place his first 1.025 million in salary in the minors and you will have a cap hit of the excess, 3.35million stay on your Preds books.

When you decide and post it: please tag Tylez, thanks

Using my first post on page one now for waivers notes...so here is the post that was occupying that spot...

Thank you to our fans and rivals for a great opening season here at the Gila River Arena, home of your Arizona Coyotes.

Fresh from our first appearance in the leagues first ever Conference Finals, and loaded with a talented roster of returning players next season, this state of the franchise address can be short.

The Yotes have laid the foundations for continued success with our one-two and now three, goalie punch. Our netminding vision never quite clicked this year as serious injuries waylaid Antii Raanta for the majority of the season, however, Laurent Brossoit was brought in to shore up the crease and he had a stellar season of success at a very reasonable cap hit. Carey Price, never a concern from the moment we drafted him proved our theory with an incredible bounce back year. The De Facto number one here in with the Desert Dogs had a highly successful year posting 35 wins, 24 losses and 6 overtime losses.

Our second founding mechanism, implemented at the draft was to build a richly skilled, cap efficient, 'sub-30 years old' diverse squad from talented and successful NHL teams. A tall order for sure, and one we are proud to have hit out of the park, with an added feature; almost every player we selected at the draft is under contract for this coming season and not just the inaugural year. I felt it was important to provide an initial quality in HR structure, so as not to overwhelm our long term sustainability in order to bolster our short term success. We ended up with both! A successful season, and the ability to improve on it as best we can, without too much risk of losing key pieces.

All in all, I like to think I built a successful club that made the Conference Finals in year one, will return to battle for the postseason in year two and continue to be a threat for years to come. Thank you Arizona and Thank you Coyotes Nation.

Minny’s 4th is almost up. Willing to trade for a decent prospect. Otherwise, we have two players who we’ll choose from.

The Wild are interested in an upcoming pick. Will part with a 4th next year, which will likely be a higher 4th, as our team is rebuilding.

Raphael Lavoie (15th Overall)

Spoiler

Lavoie is a top rated forward prospect in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He is a large framed forward with a wicked release. His ceiling is undetermined at this time but he looks like he could be a the full package at 6'4 198 Pounds.

Ilya Nikolayev (43rd Overall)

Spoiler

Nikolayev is Russian centre who played in the MHL this season. He also represented Team Russia and played on a dominant line with Top Russian Prospect Vasili Podkolzin. Together the two dominated at the U18's and had a strong WJC Championships in Vancouver/Victoria.  Nikolayev is 6'0 190 Pounds at just 17 years of age.

Cameron Rowe (126th Overall)

Spoiler

Rowe played this season alongside fellow American and Top Goalie prospect Spencer Knight at UNDP. Rowe is a very promising young goaltender that was rated 4th among American Goaltenders by NHL Central Scouting. Rowe largely played in the shadows behind Knight this season. He is committed to play for University of North Dakota next season. Rowe will get plenty of opportunity to blossom in this terrific collegiate program.

Riley Hughes (137th Overall)

Spoiler

Hughes was a New York Rangers prospect drafted last season. He played this year alongside top prospects Alex Newhook and Alexander Campbell of the Victoria Grizzlies. The trio formed one of the most dominant lines in recent BCHL history. Hughes had 21 points in 15 games in the playoffs just 3 points behind top prospect Alex Newhook as the Grizzlies went on to a third round appearance.

This concludes the Nashville Predators draft selections at the 2019 EKL Entry Draft! Have a great summer everyone!
