We have a better chance of winning the cup than they do this year, and for the foreseeable future.

(Well we’ve never had the top D man). And these two great players are extremely young. Trying to just get into the playoffs by sacrificing assets that could have been used to help these two great players in three seasons when they are mature is just really short sighted. JB is closing our window for winning a cup before it even gets open. Why in the hell is he doing this? No he isn't, you're panicking for no reason 5

Clearly the Canucks, who I assume know more than we do, thought they were in a good enough position to trade a 150 lb centerman who although is having a fine season in college, may or may never play in the league. Exactly, a B level prospect at best

Biggest need for this team now, is size and physicality. I disagree. We needed a better second line winger.

You're going to have to do better than that. Regarding the Leafs, that's exactly what I'm saying. I don't want to be in a position where Pettersson and Hughes' next contracts hamstring us like the Leafs have been this year. In order to do that we need to save as much as possible, like say 1.5 million. nice mountain building we were dealing with mole hills at first 1.5 million bonus bumps and now you are freaking about about the laffs over paying their stars you easily loose perspective but i knew you would i'm done with this discussion you are getting a bit too wound up

King Heffy
Like it a little more after looking at our division. We basically only have Vegas as the only rival with a legit NHL lineup. Barring someone good from the central causing trouble in the first round as a wild card, we have a clear and honestly fairly easy path to the conference finals after this trade. Not to mention the fact we have 3 legit, young core centres already. Madden didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of beat out Gaudette for the third line centre position, and he sure as hell would not be bumping Bo . So where would he have played ? Keep him in case we need a stop gap if one of those guys gets injured instead of Toffoli? Anyone think Madden would be willing to be a secind/ third line centre backup? There is ZERO chance that would have worked out IMO. 3
Popular Post Devron
Seems like there’s only about 4 guys that don’t like this trade. That must be a record. Same people that don’t like Benning or Green and complain a lot. 1 3
