I watched the Tampa vs Colorado game a few nights ago....Canucks need to watch how Tampa plays and match that intensity and physical play. That team is focused on winning and nothing else.

....atm, there are way too many passengers on the Canucks roster.

This is the proverbial measuring stick game. We stunk it up in Boston last game against these guys. The team looked gassed in game 4 of a 5 game road trip. No excuses tonight. Boston at the end of road trip, second game in back to back, game in our barn.

If Green plays Eriksson over Mac I dont know what to say. This is exactly the team we need to play him against. We got pushed around by Calgary last game we played them and we sat Bailey and Mac over Eriksson. Dont make the same mistake twice.

Marky needs a bounce back game. That game against the Wild was excruciating. The second Wild goal was awful and the Stecher face goal was bad as well. We need some bounces tonight. Can Stech stop scoring on his own net please?

This is going to be a playoff type game against a team that may be there in the final. If we cannot get up for this game and play with this team we are sorely lacking. We have the goal tending. I am not sold on our D. Fantenberg was performing well before he got hurt. Sad that the loss of  a number 6 or 7 guy seems to have made such a big difference. Myers, Edler and Tanev better show up in this one.Hughes seems to show up in every game.

Up front , i totally agree with everyone posting here saying Toffoli needs to play with BO and Pearson., He is their style of player. Put Jake Back on with Petey and Miller. They had some chemistry going and we need all of that we can get.

Huge game, need the two points. Forget about retribution for the hit on Petey. Win the game and be prepared to fight through a bunch of Boston holds hooks and picks. GCG!

As an armchair coach I couldn't agree more.  LE - well I guess he has had some of his better games against Boston - so won't be surprised if he's in (plus TG seems to be banking on that line to play like they did for 5-6 weeks earlier when we were doing better).

That said it's time for a change - don't care if TT continues to audition on our top line -  but would like to see JV back up in the top six - three scoring lines isn't working - time to go back to two shutdown lines and stack things the best we can.

Whelps, facing the top team on their second night of a back to back after a hard fight game (that they won last night) will be the best it gets in terms of opportunity. Canucks have had 3 days off and legs should be fresh. I'm hoping to see some fight and desperation in their play tonight. Need to jump on these guys early and keep coming at them all night long.

Yep.   We need every player pulling their weight.   It's do or die time from here on out, anyone that's not needs to put their big boy pants on and dig in.

A roller coaster of a season to say the least.   During the rebuild years this was when the team woke up and started to win.   If the opposite happens it will just end up going onto the big pile of "50 greatest franchise disappointments " ha ha - maybe land somewhere in the middle.   Canuck luck...at some point things will swing back in our favour ... maybe even this year - sure hoping so.  A win tonight against maybe the best in the league would be a big step.  Markstrom can win it for us...secondary scoring or the top line too.   Regardless it's a good litmus test to see how respond.  MIN is red hot right now and that game could have gone either way - we can win this for sure.

The problem is that those "passengers" are not held accountable on this team. We all know who they are, yet, TG sits players such as MacEwen who are hungry and could provide energy to the line up.

Growing tired of this passive, safe play, type of hockey. Get Bo's line as a second wave of attack and boot fr@#gen LE to the curb already!!!

Let him be a "defensive specialist" on the 4th line or in the press box where he belongs.

Being this "PASSIVE" type of team has gotten us nowhere and can be downright dangerous to our young players moving forward.

Time to stop being the "Victim" and be the "Agressor" for a change.

It’s differently going to be an interesting game. Bruins are playing really good and unfortunately are Real Cup contenders , it’s a good challenge for the Canucks to see where the Team really is at. Are Canucks for real this season? Tonight’s game will show us a lot.

Go Canucks Go

yes that guy

Yes, but we are where Tampa was about four years ago ..  it takes time (and much better/faster players)

Nice!

im going to the game as well! I’m going to be sitting in row 4 behind the Bruins bench.

Original plan was to meet a girl that I’d wanna take out on a date but that plan failed so I’m taking my best friend’s dad because he’s the biggest Canuck fan that I know besides myself :)

This will be the litmus test for the Canucks.  Depending on how well we do, will determine JB trade deadline actions on Monday.

Still think we need a top 4 D in order to get past the 1st round and beyond.  But hopefully, JB doesn't go crazy and mortgage the farm.

That's so awesome...(not the failed date, but taking bff's Dad!!) - have fun & cheer loud and proud!  Boston can take their sorry butts home now and save themselves the trouble!
