Would the Canucks 50th Anniversary logo be removed from center ice if Vancouver was named a hub city?
It is a small detail but I was curious what you guys think? Would they go with an nhl related logo?

Will Makar win the Calder simply because his team has a better chance at winning the cup? I can imagine writers feeling like idiots if Colorado won and they didn't vote for Makar. Is this a possibility?

No, he'll win because he's the more rounded player right now. This is Makar's to lose as he had a real deal year. Quinn was great, but Makar was a little bit greater. It's not even worth getting mad about since we finally have a dman like Quinn, and I for one can't wait to see how these 2 guys compare in 5-6 years.

I smell a Canucks trade in the works. ! My Spidey senses are tingling.

I wish we could drop pass Brown to another team.
I wonder with Gaudette's play if Motte is maybe on the way out as part of a Loui or Baer package deal... I really liked Graocac's play and he seems to be getting a very long look and could take Mottes spot with Beagle. Guys got good speed and Benning loves the bigger guys.

Hi all, here is my latest article on the 2018-19 Utica Comets if you care to read it.
Talks about camp battle ahead, likely waiver candidates, the future of Goldobin-Leipsic, team depth, and much much more.
http://www.hockeyintangibles.com/2018/09/utica-comets-2018-19-season-outlook.html
Cheers.-
Thanks. :D Yeah, I am curious how many quality guys end up on waivers. I think we could see quite a few surprises on there this season. I just hope Jim can make a trade or two on some of the more valuable guys like Granlund, Goldobin, and what not. We have an exciting pre-season and training camp ahead. I am ecstatic. :D

HF Boards are broken. Overloaded, slow, and unresponsive lol. :/ Wanted to read more Tanev/Toronto rumours now we got Hughes and I am over the moon.

Quinn Hughes from University of Michigan (Canucks #7th Overall Draft Selection in 2018)
HockeyIntangibles: Draft Success a start, More work ahead for Canucks
- Explore draft details, off-season moves, and the value of Chris Tanev.
QuoteWith other great additions like Tyler Madden (C) son of former three-time Stanley Cup Champion John Madden and Finland's U18 Captain Tomi Ultunen (LD), the Canucks are poised for yet another strong draft class. The team managed to solve its defensive draft pool deficiencies with three top defencemen including only the second defenceman taking in the draft in Quinn Hughes. Jim Benning and staff have done well to address key needs in the prospect pool the team still needs some alternations on the immediate future.
Cheers, Just threw this together for fun Tell me what you think.
-
Posted a new poll on twitter: Who of the 3 youngest #Canucks D from last season do you believe will have the biggest off-season and be the biggest contributor next season? (Hutton, Pouliot, Stecher).
Couldn't think of a thread to throw it in.
feel free to chime in if you wish!
-
Can I create a Boqvist "Prospects Thread" yet?
-
Canucks GM Jim Benning is looking to add "speed, speed, speed" in a trade according to Rick D. Rick also believes VAN will be hard after signing speedy UFA winger Michael Grabner. Grabner a former Canucks 1st round pick.

Anyone else use a vacation day for Friday/draft day? ^^ I usually work early but I figured.. why not sleep in and enjoy the draft that day.
I'm happy with my deicision lol
-
-
No. Unless you are a borderline playoff team or desperate for help you take the guy you think is not only the best now, but 5 years from now is what truely matters.
Lot of guys jump to the NHL early only to regress.
If you want to maximize your NHL career we wanna be here for a longtime, not just a good time.

I wrote a new article today on the Domi trade to MTL. I had a lot of fun with the piece. If you wish to read it. Here is the link! Max Domi is a Good Fit in Montreal
http://www.hockeyintangibles.com/2018/06/max-domi-is-good-fit-in-montreal.html
cheers :D I am working on a Canucks one I hope to have out by Monday relating to the draft. Will share when I finish it up.

Hi everyone! Good news! We now have 235 participants registered for the "NHL 2018 CDC Top Challenge"! That is a remarkable number of members joining in on the fun. If anyone is interested in helping tally votes with spreadsheet skills let me know. If not I may need to ask members to "tally their totals" and post them on the forum. We can then double check their numbers and assign a winner!
If anyone has spreadsheet skills though and would like to help with the project please let me know. I am unfortunately a spreadsheet noob lol.
Just a reminder for those who have not yet signed up - Please check out the post, read the rules, and make your selections! Each member gets a chance to predict the top 10 draft picks in this years NHL entry draft. This year's confusion in the top 10 will only make it more interesting. :DThanks so much for everyone participating. cheers :D

Travis on Juolevi
- Sami really liked the way Juolevi progressed. Really confident that he's on the right track. Travis not worried. He's a young guy and he'll bounce back. It's just a small setback.
Green's Role in the Draft
-Doesn't get involved in rating the players and didn't attend the combine but he does talk about the players. Has final list at home. Won't have a say in who the Canucks ultimately pick. No need for him to stick his nose in. Need as many good young players as possible. Look at Capitals and how many first round picks they had, that's proof right there.
Player's Development
- Have challenged every player on the team and need them to come back a better hockey player. Boeser had a great year but they've challenged him and how to improve. Same with Bo. People normally talk about Granlund and Hutton. Has full confidence that Hutton will come back and have a great year next year. Sutter, Eriksson as well.

@ItsMillerTime I think because Baer is injury prone and hard to take a risk on long term. You could have a bad contract situation there very easily... he's not a legit 1st liner but he's better than many bottom 9 but can also pull a disappearing act at times.
