Kesler signed an offer sheet with Phily instead of negotiating in good faith, diva? Whatever Gillis said about him is hardly credible now that we hear consistent stories from others who left. Smashian Kassian Posted July 6, 2013 Share Posted July 6, 2013 In all fairness when Kesler signed his contract he had not yet scored 41 goals, had not yet won a Selke, had not yet made an all star team. He signed this during the 09-10 season when the salary cap was 56.8 million which obviously had lower player caps and obviously had players demanding less money then. It should also be noted that Kesler wanted 5.5 million per year but was talked down some. In other words you can't compare the situations because had Kesler been a FA this offseason he would be asking for a lot more than he did back then. JoshuaGuy Posted July 7, 2013 Share Posted July 7, 2013 It will never happen but I'd love to see a 7 game series with Kesler and Hodgson playing head to giant head. Little Cody would never touch the puck. It's pretty funny hearing people call Cody a top line center considering what happened when he played against actual top line centers last year. He got roasted on a regular basis. The only reason he got top line minutes to begin with was by default because Buffalo had no other options.
