jbrizzy
I've seen billy talent / sum 41 live together twice, at the vogue and at the coliseum, not a huge sum 41 fan but billy talent was amazing, especially at the vogue. also the jt / jay z concert last week was great especially with the number of people in the crowd, wasn't disappointed at all. Mr.DirtyDangles
That was in the late 80's early 90's right? I remember that I really wanted to go that concert, but my parents said I was too young. I would have been around 10 if I remember correctly.
Grapefruits
Most of those on my list are not recent. The most recent was The Flaming Lips back in 2010. Daft Punk I saw in Paris quite a while ago. However, Paul McCartney for the 3rd time is next week Monday!

GLASSJAW
My favourite was probably just this year when Tame Impala went to the Commodore. IMO their newest album Lonerism is a top contender for best album released in the last ten+ years. But I also can't forget Leonard Cohen 5 or 6 years ago in Victoria, when he "came back" from such a long hiatus. It was almost like a religious experience. Up there with Neil Young for all time greatest Canadian musicians/artists, IMO. A less conventional concert that I will never forget is when Philip Glass gave a solo piano performance at UVIC a few years ago. It was like a 'greatest hits' type deal. VICanucksfan5551
A few years back, one concert I went to was: In Flames Killswitch Engage Protest the Hero Between the Buried and Me I enjoyed In Flames despite their deteriorating music as of late and Protest and Between the Buried and me are insanely talented. However, Killswitch stole the show. I've never seen another band work a crowd like they did.

Svengali
Been to millions but my favourite "huge" concerts were probably seeing the Grateful Dead (a bunch of times) in the early and mid 90s. It wasn't just their amazing live sound, it was also the entire day before the shows and night after them that was so fun. The parking lots were turned into a village of laid back humanity. (I was never a Deadhead, but I loved their music) My "greatest festival lineup" was seeing The Cure, R.E.M., Bob Dylan, Page & Plant, PJ Harvey, Elvis Costello, Debbie Harry, Shane MacGowan, Dick Dale, Bunny Wailer, Jeff Buckley, The Black Crowes, Van Halen, NOFX, Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Weezer, Blur, Supergrass, Morphine, Ice-T, Napalm Death and Biohazard all within a 3 day period. It was pure heaven. And for just pure raw talent, the best I've ever seen is Stevie Ray Vaughan when I was a teenager. No lightshow, no smoke and mirrors, just insane raw power coming out of his hands.

NikiShiz
oh man. i had chills watching that.. what a voice. and the crowd was awesome. Yeah, 1984. BC Place. Michael was a speck that could only be seen through binoculars. I think if it was televised or presented with today's big screen technology, people would have been able to see/enjoy his moves but from the nosebleeds, it was hard/impossible to. I would have tried to go to the This is It tour too. Was already pretty astounded with the daily concert schedule they put up for him. The organizers would have made a fortune though. O2 stadium is enormous. Poor MJ. EDIT: most enjoyable concert so far - Summer Sanitarium 2003 Seattle. i'm curious to hear what argon's pick/list is.
