snucks
Does any one else see more and more penalties to opposition players are not being called. Why are teams allowed to T off on our lowly Canucks? Concussions, broken backs, etc, etc. and what can or will Gillis do. We must be the most injured team in the league. Is there a concerted effort to allow destruction of the Canucks? It sure seems like it sometimes.

Ronalds.Kenins41
If your complaining about this you should have seen our two last playoff series and our last two games in california. I'd rather take this situation compared to those. Trust me you have nothing to complain about here.

TheRussianRocket.
Yes it happens to us a lot but I guess it's apart of the game. Refs are human and make mistakes, far too many to be true at times though lol. ...big one was against Pens. Up 2, Santorelli gets hauled down with 2 mins left but refs dismiss calling a penalty cause the game was already over they thought. Not so fast batman...Pens score on PP and with goalie pulled and eventually win...then few games later Nucks are blown out, they still give the Nucks players penalties at the end of the game even the game is totally out of hand and there's no point in calling a penalty that late in the stage of a game. Inconsistent my friend.

kassquatchian
Perfect example last night when lucic sat on ohr goalie and they scored. In most cases that would be a goalie interference penalty but because a goal went in all they do is disallow the goal. Same with the knee on knee contact kesler took( ithink against detroit) 2 minutes for blatant knee on knee? Jeez!

-DLC-
I have noticed, but it doesn't ONLY happen to us. It was so much of an issue that it's now a non issue to me, if that makes any sense at all. You just have to carry on despite it all because if you make it a focal point, it really does have more of an impact than it should. Nothing they can do to change the situation (sadly) so to simply ignore, accept it and work around it. Mostly, by giving guys shots and fight back and hopefully get away with a few that go unnoticed from our end but also send a message at the same time. Bottom line: team can't count on the refs, so don't. Set the bar low and play a tough game that deters others from taking liberties or at least make the refs take notice that "we will not be pushed around". Always more noticeable with Boston, because, well, they're Daddy's boys.
hsedin33
Life isn't fair. Never has been, never will be, you either figure out a way to win or you will lose, its as simple as that.
gino#29
all the teams in the league know they can take liberties against the canucks top players and get away with it without even having to fight after.we've seen what the parasite refs do when they try to make the weasels accountable.after hanzal injured 3 canucks in one game, finishing the season of santo.the other weasely,burke/hartley,l.a.weasels etc.will try some cheap crap on them for sure, knowing they always get away with it scott free.the canucks will have half their roster injured by the end of the year unless the refs start doing their job or the canucks start paying teams back regardless if the refs and the nhl trough the book at them like they love to do.who cares, its injure or be injured.why was edler suspended 3 games for his hit on fruitcake who didn't even miss a shift and calgary's subhuman idiot doesn't get suspended for ending alberts season.wake the frack up people, this league is run by a bunch of corporate weaselly lawyer type's.if you don't see the blatant favoritism to the california market, you're stupid.the league has to or they'll all be the next california golden seals. EmilyM
Everyone thinks calls go unmade against their team. This. But! Why aren't officials held accountable at all? I'm not talking about just calls/miscalls against the Canucks, but in general. Why is it required for players and coaches to make themselves available to the media after every game, but not the officials? Would it be so hard to take 5 minutes after each game to stand in front of the media row and answer any questions regarding any of the calls them made or didn't make on the ice? Why are they so untouchable?
RonMexico
Does it really matter anyways? Canucks can't score on the PP to save their lives. Going on the PP is an autoamtic waste of two minutes of valuable 5-on-5 time.
VMR
Not dismissing what you are saying, but we can't score even on the powerplay so not sure what the complaint is.
M A K A V E L I 96
Bad calls happen to every team, but that SJ series last year was like wrestling type reffing. The refs get knocked out. The SJ players jump into the ring and smash the Canucks in the head with a chair. The refs wake up just in time to count 1-2-3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJYTOg8JQ2g

CanuckleHorse
From Kyle Clfford running tanev face first into the boards in his rookie yr to Booth getting cross checked to the face by Hazal the league and its officials dont give a damn about the Canucks their hate shines through each year this year more than any other i hope it can be stopped but how who holds them accountable is the question?
