If he doesn't make the team out of training camp next year is it possible he goes back to the KHL for another season? I wonder if he'd consider playing for Utica after the canucks season is over for the playoffs? Would he even be eligible?

Recall Nikita drafted "Vancouver " . Just saw this now too. Oh man, I'm happy about this. Even if he struggles a bit that's OK, he'll know what he's up against for a full season and can begin with confidence next year. And do this Никита , раздавить маленький человек из Калгари . I am really excited to have Nikita playing for Canucks, along with Pedan and might be Sergachev. Reminds me of the Detroit glorious days of 90s with five Russian players. My thought was the upcoming team reminds me of Detroit ten years ago. Russians, Europeans, a fast and skilled team, but not soft.
oldnews
Could be pretty fun if we get to see this big guy in the lineup with all the other youth.

Let's see what happens when we get him here, he meets the team, coaches and management. He might be more willing to go to the AHL for a bit. But let's hope he can stick with the Canucks right out of the gate; I'm guessing that he will. Agreed. Pretty sure once he's done here he will be offered the chance to play some playoffs in the A as well.. All these things will play in his decisions I'm sure. Let's be honest how much worse than Weber can any of our prospects be? lol

Thanks again Stierlitz, keep up the good work! I still feel the pain of losing Larionov to Detroit because Igor did not want the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (I think?) to get half the salary the Canucks and Pat Quinn were offering. The "professor" was a tremendous player, a great leader, and the smartest guy on the ice. Larionov was instrumental in getting the first players out of the old Communist system and was really big news here in Canada. And then Igor pointed out to management that Bure was actually eligible so we got him with the 113th pick! I still miss Larionov. When we had Bure and Mogilny we hoped we could pry Federov out of Detroit and reunite their junior line, but alas, it was not to be, and Pavel and Alex didn't play together here as well as they did back in Russia. When Nikita said in that old interview he wanted to be "The Next Big Russian in Vancouver", I got really excited. He partially allayed NHL teams' fears about "wasting" draft picks on Russians that probably would not come over. Then we had to wait 2 years while he honoured his contract with the KHL. When he finally makes it here and puts on a Canuck jersey, it will be fantastic! Please come Nikita, work hard and learn the North American game, and we will make you, and Pedan, and perhaps new draft picks like Sergachev, more than welcome in Vancouver and in British Columbia. We will begin a new era of top Russian players playing for Vancouver. We will embrace you and love you and pay you lots of money and hopefully you can help Vancouver win The Stanley Cup. You can even take The Cup back home to show your friends and family (which may soften the news that you are leaving). Be The Next Big Russian in Vancouver!!
newgm
If the Canucks don't make the playoffs and Utica does, it's likely that Nikita will play both for the Canucks and the Comets, so he'll see what it's like in the AHL versus the AHL.

48MPHSlapShot
Hoping that the smaller ice surface allows Tree to be a little more proactive in his play. I want to see him unleashing bombs from the point!

Won't need to and will be too pricey anyway. JB says the drop-off is at 15, so we're right in there and he'll grab the BPA. Some have said the 4 or 6-15 are somewhat interchangeable anyway.
