RUPERTKBD
I'm surprised that people are slagging Leggio for this move. IMHO, it was a guy who's quick thinking took advantage of the rules, exactly as any player should.

Neversummer
So a lot of you like players that exploit loopholes? Did you like it when MG exploit the CBA to sign Luongo to his contract? Personally, I would prefer a player on my team that make the highlight reel stopping a 2-0 breakaway ... not being on Youtube by knocking the goal off the post. hockeyville88
Copout. As a goalie your job is to step up in the big moments
JoeyJoeJoeJr. Shabadoo
Good on him. I've seen goalies stop 2 on 0's before. Never seen that.

Call it exploiting loopholes, or call it using the rules to their full extent. The purists wouldn't like it, but hockey is a business, and if it helped the Canucks win a cup (or this junior team win) then I doubt you'd be crying foul. Nope ... if a team won the Cup on a play like that, I'd put an asterisk beside the win ... wouldn't be proud of that at all. That was a Peewee league move. Swedish elite3
I'd rather face a 2-0 as a goalie haha players seem to think way to much and lots if passing.. But hey he played to his strong point and stopped the PS all the power to him I guess.

goalie13
That was a Peewee league move. I don't think a Peewee could lift the net off the pegs like that.
erkayloomeh
Gary suitcase smith did that back in the day. Canucks were up by a goal with a short time left. Canucks were two men short. He was under an unreal ammount of pressure and was stopping everything when he put his back under the crossbar and lifted the net off to stop the play. He got a penalty which didnt matter because they were two men down already. They won the game. Seemed like a big deal at the time.
yoshiyoshi
That was sneaky, i think the rule should be changed to a penalty shot and a 2 min minor like someone else said. That being said, i like the way this guy thinks

DYU3ster
Sedins 2 on 0, the goalie is better taking the net off like that guy!
c00kies
I think both shooters should get penalty shots, that way you can give up two goals instead of just one for playing through.
