50 a year sure. Not one of them is a finisher these days. We could put Kassian on the Sedin line and stir the same drink.

Don't think so. Kassian couldn't even tie Lucic's skates. Lucic captained the WJ's in 2007 to gold, took the giants on his back to the Memorial cup championship and was dominant when the Bruins won the Stanley cup. I think his resume speaks for itself. Stop being a hater cause he destroys the nucks. I'm a diehard canucks fan but I can take off the rose colored glasses once in and make a non-biased comment. Give me one canuck that has done what Lucic has done and he's still only 27, entering his prime.

Guest Cuporbust2

would you rather have him fighting with you or against you.

i want him on my side

Why? We can find a better player to "fight with us" for that kind of money. We already have virtanen in the system and Kassian on the roster. Lucic is not worth it........ Plus he's a (fill in the blank)

Lucic is in my top 10 most hated humans on this planet. The list that includes him, Keith, doughty, etc...

That being said, anyone that wears the blue and green would immediately have my approval and become one of my favourite 50 players (all under contract to Vancouver)

GETIRRRRDOONNNEEE JB

When your "list of most hated humans on this planet" doesn't include Adolf Hitler, Kim Jong Il/Un, Omar Kadafi and the like, the I dunno what to say. Pretty sure Keith, Doughty and Lucic are not responsible for mass Genocides.

He is a big body, but limited skill. Terrible attitude, cancer off the ice.

Would be another Kessler in the locker room.

So NO, would Not want him as a canuck at all.

There will never be another Kesler in the room. And thank God for that.

Over the last couple of weeks there has been a lot of talk about Milan Lucic's future in Boston. He is a free agent at the end of next season and is having a horrible season this year. Naturally there are questions on whether his body is breaking down and whether Boston should keep him.

Also Boston has been struggling heavily all year and some Boston analysts believe trading him is the type of shakeup the Bruins need.

See the following ARTICLES:

Naturally there will be a lot of speculation linking him to Vancouver seeing he was born here and the Jim Benning connection. There would be a lot of hurdles to clear for him to end up in Vancouver including the biggest question which is whether he would want to come play in Vancouver. I don't think he would but there are some fans on twitter atleast who think he would.

However lets ignore Lucic for a second. Would you the Canucks fan be happy with Lucic signing as a UFA or being traded to Vancouver or no. To say Vancouver has a rocky relationship with him would be an understatement but a lot of it IMO atleast has been his own doing. As a Canucks fan, as much as I may not like him on the Bruins he is the type of player who would be an excellent fit to play in the big bad pacific division and a solid fit. I can look past everything because he is that good of a player when he wants to be.

D. SEDIN - H. SEDIN - VRBATA

LUCIC - HORVAT - KASSIAN

Absolutely. Same goes for any player you might "hate" as a member of the opposition, when they come to your team. I would never go as far as to say Lucic is classless because he let's his emotions get the better of him from time to time. I don't know the guy. I'm sure plently of people in Boston, and 28 other cities around the NHL think Alex Burrows is classless, but anyone who knows the Canucks organization knows how much of his own time he gives to children's charities, etc.

I would be happy with any trade that makes the team better. Anyone who can contribute, get along with and have the respect of their teammates, and commit to developing a winning culture on and off the ice I will welcome with open arms.

Lucic, Marchand, Keith, Brown, etc. If the team has no problems with those players playing here I don't either.

I don't have a problem with Lucic, but thinking that he can turn the aging Sedins into 50-goal players is just asinine.

While Lucic is a bit of a tool, his ability speaks for itself. He has a Stanley Cup ring.

If the Canucks want to get bigger and younger, Lucic is a sound addition.

Not every player on every team is going to be the perfect citizen and radiate warmth and kindness.

He's a massive player who can do it all and has proven to do so at the highest level. If you want to win, you do what it takes. Otherwise be happy with the Lady Byng.
