That is why for the benefit of the Canuck team it will be better if the Calder goes to someone else and EP40 finishes second in the voting.    He will be pissed off.   REALLY pissed off and will come out next year like he was shot out of a cannon.   He may look like a 10 year old choir boy but the kid is an assassin and if was a GoT character would be Arya.

So who's face would EP be hiding under just before he goes in for the kill?. Just like  Arya did just before she killed off Walder Frey. ;)

None. Petty's an assassin but he likes his victims to know it was him from 30 feet out.

10 to 15 lbs this next season would be about right. To much to fast would not be a good thing as his body will need time to adjust to the added mass

I was joking....I expect EP to gain about what you said over the next couple years...190 would be a good playing weight for him at age 23....

I don't know (re "legs/speed") - just watching the end of the game again and in the second half of the third, he's flying.  Just picked up the puck and took off on a rush, made a pass, banged his stick and got the puck back, then instantly knew where he was going with it - with a beautiful, right in front of the net pass that LE didn't connect on.

I don't think there's much he can't/isn't doing.   He's a little gangly, but it isn't anything that impedes his game...it just stands out at times, especially when he's falling.  But he still MAKES plays as he's hitting the ice.  He's brilliant.  Most don't have the ability to make passes like he does in a down and out deal.  He is all in, every second of every shift.  Even his back check...puts his head down and skates like a maniac..especially if he's created a turnover.

I think it's more a case of the other guys' minds not keeping up with his.  That he is doing things on instinct and without having to pause and think about it...and timing is tough for those at the receiving end.   He's had an amazing game.

Agreed Deb.

He thinks the game a lot faster and further ahead than most players.

Boeser is close IQ wise which is why they work well together.

Wait until Brock gets some time to really work on his one-timer.

He will be scoring 40+ With Pete feeding him

If Boeser wants the best of Petey(with both get a lot of points) he has not act egoistically. If Boeser feeds Petey both win. If it goes one way Petey plays worse.

Psychology is very important if we want our players to not lose focus or as in Peteys case, act fatigue.

Boes' a shooter not a playmaker, whereas Pete is both.  This is why it would be great if the Canucks select Krebs at the draft.  Krebs is a pure playmaker and can play LW (although he is a C).  His tape to tape passes will allow Pete to shoot more. Too bad we won't see Krebs for a couple of years, but maybe Baer stays healthy this year and can be a decent playmaker on that line.

Chris Faber of the Canucks Conversation podcast interviewed Boldy and Caulfield about the upcoming draft. These American boys ooze confidence.

Disclaimer: personally not a huge fan of the podcast.

Edit: looks like Spotify will only give you all a 30 second preview? I'm not sure where else you can find the full interview.
