Popular Post The Lock
Theodore's one of Vegas' top 2 defenders. There are likely to be a number of players they'd get rid of before Theodore. Highly unlikely he gets traded. I wanted to throw that out there. 1
Noble 6
Cap troubles do not require trading your best defenseman.
6string
Colin Miller Defense -- shoots R, 26 yrs. old, Height 6.01 -- Weight 196. He will likely be made available this off season I like his game. He put up 41 points in his first year with Vegas. Cap hit 3.875 million. Phil_314
Swap Theodore for Miller? Maybe keep an asset on our end but it seems workable
Guest
We underpay for Vegas, overpay for Toronto. Let’s just see what happens before our first pick. It’ll be a very unpredictable top 10.
qwijibo
Vegas has no reason to trade two young, productive players signed long term to affordable contracts. You’re not offering anywhere close to the value needed to get one of those players. Let alone both.

Generational.EP40
The 6th + 5th round picks must’ve been the deal breaker. ...how could Vegas decline after those were included

Tuch will also not be traded, very talented young player...Top 6 forward so he would demand one of Canuck top 5 players or a good package.. JeremyCuddles
Dang, does Benning have incriminating pictures of McPhee? Vegas gets absolutely roasted here. Or are you on the Gaudette is the 2nd coming of Kesler train?
Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
Benning has never fleeced anyone in a trade before. He's not about to start here. The OP is way off in trade value.

As far as Tuch goes, he has an extremely cap friendly contract and is more than capable of playing Top 6. Vegas will likely keep him and move another forward that has a heavier cap hit, and would simply promote Tuch. Also, in a hypothetical situation where Tuch played for us, he would easily be our 2nd line RW’er.

Sedinery33
Why don't we just take the last year of Clarksons contract and a couple draft picks for a C prospect or late round pick. They would be more likely to do that

Why would Vegas give up real assets to unload him? Edited June 5, 2019 by NewbieCanuckFan
