10th Overall: 2019 CDC Draft Consensus

Pick your top 3 players for the 10th overall pick at the draft. The last choice is for the player you do not want. 

 

The following players have not been included because there is little chance of them being available at the 10th pick (based on majority of mock drafts/rankings):

all it tells me

is that

 

jb is a better drafter then cdc

 

so i have nothing further to add

and seems pointless in joining this thread for anything more as a result

I'd agree, but this is a long-standing series, so it feels like the "official" thread.

My votes:

 

1. Podkolzin - Too good to pass up if he falls to #10. IMO, he's the #7 in this draft.

2. Boldy - Could easily end up in our lap. He's my #9 in this draft, so I'd be thrilled to get Boldy.

3. Krebs - The main guy I'm expecting us to be able to snag--he's my #10 guy in this draft.

Do not want: Broberg - Has all the tools, but I'm not sure he has the mind for a high-level game. Probably has a high floor, but low ceiling.

 

I'll also mention that in both the Boeser and Pettersson drafts, neither guys were in my top three, so I'm completely expecting Benning to pick something else and make me look dumb once again.

Can someone tell me why CDC seems to have a phobia about bigger defensemen? 

If the Canucks had 1st overall last year would they not want Dahlin?

There's defencemen in the later rounds which aren't much of a step down from Broberg/Soderstrom.

 

Sidenote - it's shocking how no one really picked EP or Brock in there draft years... hindsight is 20/20 i suppose

I think people are ignoring Newhook who may have a ceiling similar to Podkolzin.
