Bad trade for Colorado if true. horrendous trade for barrie, seems like: 1. Sakic refused to trade him into the west and took less than he could have gotten a la Mike Gillis/corey Schneider/edmnton poilers 2.barrie was not going to re sign in Colorado and if he got injured sakic lost him for nothing

Dombrova22
The Leafs get a lot better with this trade. And it makes me LOL because you all have such a hatred towards them.
morrissex95
Reilly-Barrie Muzzin-Ceci Dermott-Holl Toronto's D doesn't look so bad. They'e got some good puck movers. Kerfoot doesn't have the grit that Kadri has but he can still fill in as a solid 3C with Kapanen or Nylander as one of his wingers. Toronto could surprise a lot of people next year with a move like this
Canuck Surfer
I hate to admit it. This is a great trade for both sides. Prob even weighted to the Leafs, as Barrie's talent is rare. 2

Plus they’re retaining salary. Youre telling me Benning couldn’t have swung a better deal? Who do we have to match Kadri? Plus TO is a different conference

He's 100% testing FA at the very least, most likely coming to Vancouver though. 1

86Viking
Av's needed a 2nd line C, guess they think Kadri will fill that role. The brief emergence of Makar made Barrie expendable especially considering he has be in rumours for years now. It also is wise to move someone before they get hurt and you cant trade them...Cough Tanev Cough Sutter...Tanev. Both of them should be moved. Barrie would be a nice target next July for us, need to move on from tanev, ideally by not letting him walk for nothing.
