What are you most excited about for the upcoming season?

Hey guys . Just bored and thought I'd throw a topic out there for us to debate . 

 

Seems out team has given us plenty to look forward to for the upcoming season. What are you most intrigued or excited about in regards to that?

 

For me , I think Hughes peeks my interest the most , followed closely by Petey s follow up season . Thoughts ?

For it to start. I want my hockey back plain and simple.

I'm really excited to have (what looks like) a competitive team again!

 

Look at that line up, we've got a team that will finish checks and not get pushed around! Hells bells!

There are so many exciting storylines going into this season, it's hard to pick just one. 

 

I don't think I've been this stoked for a season since our President's Trophy years.

Right now Boeser's contract. Hoping it's favourable cap hit and term.

 

Once season starts. EP, Hughes and UFA signings. Looking forward to all those things equally to start the season. 

 

Will look towards playoffs after half way thru the season.

My vote was for the playoffs. At the end of the day that's why the game is played.

 

I simply can't wait for hockey season this fall to light a fire-place, mix my favourite drink and watch the boys play on HNIC.

Voted for playoffs. Alot to look forward to but gotta say.....

 

When someone runs at Petterson and takes a few liberties an here comes psycho teammate Michael Ferland hahaha. Guys gonna set a precedent to not take liberties with our skilled guys and open up alot of space.

 

It's not all points with this guy and he along with our overall team grit and size now. They're gonna be interesting to watch and turn some heads.

As for a serious vote, playoffs, followed by seeing Woo and Podz battle each other in the WJHC and Eriksson being sent to the AHL where he belongs.

It's a toned down version of the Marner effect. We're trying to get the guy signed and a bunch of people run him down to try and justify why he should get less than he's worth.

Petey unlocking ultra instinct and becoming a 90 point 2 way centerman.

 

Brock scoring 30+ goals.

 

Edler - Myers tandem to click and for Myers to have a career year.

 

Ferland, Miller and Roussel in the lineup at the same time wrecking havoc.

 

Miller being that missing winger/playmaker that Bo has been missing all these years. 

 

Marky and Demky channelling their 10/11 Lou/Schneider tandem chemistry.

 

Eriksson's debut in Utica.

1.Elias Pettersson. Potential to be the GOAT of this franchise, and this is barely even pumping the kid's tires.

 

2. Quinn Hughes. I want to see just how good this kid is. Looked like he owned the ice in his debut.

 

3. Jacob Markstrom. Can he follow up last season's success?

 

4. Eriksson, can you please wake up?

1.  Elias showing he has more than we saw last year.  Really excited to see what he’s got.  

 

2.  Hughes a close second.  Been a long time since we’ve had anyone even remotely comparable in skillset. 

 

3.  Bo.  He’s gonna show what he can do when the rest of the team remains healthy.  He is the backbone of this team and will show he can be a true captain. 

 

4. Playoff potential.  Finally going into a season expecting to at least make a push at the end.   Up to now, we’ve not been expecting it.  Now, I think the team is ready for at least competing for that wild card spot. 

 

(Also, as an fyi, the proper word is “piqued” interest, not peeked or peaked ).

Jim Bennings new look. I think hes going to change it up from the dracula look that he had going.
