kloubek
Nobody thinks late-bloomer-Bailey belongs on a list? He is a good sized guy who can light it up in the AHL at least.
Smashian Kassian
My rankings as of now: (along with tier/groupings of how I selected them) 1. Vasili Podkolzin 2. Nils Hoglander - 3. Olli Juolevi 4. Tyler Madden 5. Brogan Rafferty 6. Kole Lind 7. Micheal Dipietro 8. Jack Rathbone - 9. Jett Woo 10. Zack MacEwen Next up: Utunen, Lockwood, Focht, Tryamkin, McDonough - Put Juolevi #3 b/c, if he hits he's still got the best upside of that group, goalie aside. - Debated Rafferty as low as #7 - due to age (comp to Lind/Dipietro) - but he's more of a sure bet, & he's played very well of course. - Not sure what Rathbone could be in the NHL, if anything at all. Maybe I'm sleeping on him but, he's a wildcard for sure. - Woo's stock has dropped but still has bottom 4 NHL tools. - MacEwen is getting older, not sure he's got the upside of some who just missed, but he's already played vs other being projects, so... hammertime
Ill wade into this. 1 Podkolzin 2 Madden 3 Hoglander 4 Woo 5 Juolevi 6 Dipietro 7 Rafferty 8 Lind 9 Rathbone 10 Macewan Dark horses 11 Keppen 12 Focht 13 Mcdonaugh 14 Silovus 15 Lockwood I must say I'm very happy IMO there are at least 5 players on this list who will have more than a cup of NHL coffee. Not Bad considering recent graduates Pete, Hughes, Demko, Gaudette. Edited January 27, 2020 by hammertime
kenhodgejr
I noticed nobody is including Sautner, Brisebois, Teves, Jassek, Chatfield, Baily. Is this because they are to old or just not good enough?

Here is what I feel these guys have for potential: Podkolzin- Top line Madden- Top 6 Hoglander- Top 6 Lind- Middle 6 Juolevi- Top 4 Rafferty- 4-6 D Rathbone- Probable NHLer Woo- Probable NHLer Dipietro- Lower end Starter The guys below I see as call ups, replacement level players, or AHL lifers. maybe 1 or 2 stick, but every team has guys like these: Keppen, Focht, Mcdonaugh, Silovus, Lockwood, Sautner, , Teves, Jassek, Chatfield, Bailey I feel pretty confident that we have another 7 or 8 solid NHL level prospects in this group, which is outstanding. I feel Hoglander, Madden, and Podkolzin have the potential to be impact players. 1 1

Forward-wise, we're set for the next decade.

That is not to mention Virtanen and Guadette as well. Benning will go down as the best GM we've ever had when it is all said and done.
48MPHSlapShot
For me the most disappointing one might actually be Cassels. After his draft+1 and in particular his draft+2 seasons there was every reason to believe that he was going to be a stud, and he never even came close. If he did we would have to watch about 30 hfcanucks morons act like lemmings and all jump off the Lions Gate Bridge one at a time. Hopefully y2kgoof 1st. That would be kinda funny...... J.I.A.H.N
OK.....my turn #1...…. Podkolzin The guy is as advertised. Rob_Zepp
No love for Utunen anywhere? He is still only 19 and while he may never score often (unless it is in O/T against Canada), he moves well, has good zone exits, uses his body well for leverage and hitting and generally seems to be a workhorse. I am not sure he makes the NHL but he is certainly a solid candidate to at least get a peek at some point.
