Eriksson with 2 goals.  :P

And 9 assists to break the record of most points ever scored in a single game. A record set by Maple Leafs player Darryl Sittler when he amassed 6G, 4A in a game against Don Cherry's big bad Bruins in 1976.

JB's phone will be blowing up with trade offers from around the league after tonight's game.  Bet.

I find a lot of fans overlook how outstanding that team was.  So many players were in their prime and there was a terrific balance of skill, tenacity and physicality.  8 players with +40pt season and top points in the regular season.  They were so much fun to watch and at times, seem to win games without breaking a sweat.

The 2011 run was incredible when you think of those games on the way to the final match up.  Of course the Boston series was devastating for a variety of reasons and it had a crushing effect on the team and fans.  We all know the history, but it shouldn't take away from the fact that they truly were a great the team.

This current team is still in its formative years and has a ways to go to reach the pinnacle that the former team achieved. Reaching game 7 of the SC final; the most difficult championship to win, is a long journey that takes a tremendous effort by every player on the team.

The Canucks was No 1 in the standings and the best GF and GA in the league.

If you use their real 4th line with Glass Malhotra/Lapierre Torres and insert Higgins and Hansen that decade kills this team. This way it's close.

That Mitchell hit was deadly ... just goes to show you GM is a tricky business. I thought Gillis made the right decision ... but no

None of Malhotra, Higgins, Torres, or Lappierre were Canucks in January 2010.
