Can Buffalo retain another 25 or 50 percent and then turn around and sell him to Benning for a good prospect and a draft pick?

So NJ retains 50%, Buff retains another big percentage...brings down the cap hit.....

Is that possible?

Can only retain once per contract

it is. but idk why Benning would pay anymore than what another team already paid.

Because they can ransom simmonds for better picks?

I thought Juolevi was a bust....:bigblush:

Seriously, I hope this opens peoples eyes up to the fact that Friedman is full of crap and should not be trusted.

People just need to use their brains, a little critical thinking, to help decipher the difference between when guys like Fried, LeBrunn, Dhaliwal etc post up actual information, vs conjecture (aka throwing crap against wall).

Hint #1, Benning's never going to give up high picks or better prospects (even if they have struggled with injuries) for expensive, massively slowed down, 4th line vet rentals.

Edmonton traded Dubnyk with 50% retention to Nashville.  Nashville then traded him further with 50% retention.  So Montreal got him at 25%.

Elliot Friedman whiffed on the "canucks don't have a 1st or 2nd so they cant afford simmonds"

Also lmfao at the Juolevi for Simmonds rumours

This happens every year. Supposedly, we're in on every possible trade, for a significant overpayment, then nothing happens.

"Where there's smoke, there's fire" you say? Smoke is also prevalent with a smokescreen.
