Popular Post 189lb enforcers? Posted October 8, 2020 Popular Post Share Posted October 8, 2020 Thanks Horvat for not becoming Gaunce 2.0. That trade remains a bright spot for this franchise. Still, I think they dealt the wrong goalie at the time, but understand why that was. Poor CS. He just couldn’t stay healthy enough to perform like he could. He deserved a better fate than being a good starter on some horrible NJD teams, only to become too sore to play once the team started to get going. At least CS was able to play in the NHL at a high level as a starting goalie for a storied franchise. His body may have prematurely given out, but he certainly had a decent career compared to most goalies who come up and never take the reigns. Classy guy and a great player.
