No wonder this guy's career didn't work out. The taunting by his $&!#hawk team mates is particularly despicable. 6

Popular Post SergioMomesso
Oh man I remember wanting the Nucks to take Beach instead of Hogdson. That kid went through hell and all those involved in the cover up should no longer be in hockey. 4 2

Master Mind
Anyone who knew about this and did nothing, including management, coaches, players, execs in the NHL or NHLPA, all need to be fired and banned from the league. Then their cup wins should be rescinded from the record books, although I know that is extremely unlikely to happen. 2

He was just a young kid when this happened and it literally destroyed him emotionally and his career. It infuriates me that the management and organization cared more about a dumb trophy than a young man getting sexually assaulted. And to make it worse, his so called “teammates” or these “stand up guys” like Toews or Kane did nothing to defend him and some even made fun of him. Thank you Kyle for your courage of speaking up and sharing your story. Fk the entire Blackhawks organization. -SN-
I simply can't believe Quenneville is set to coach in 15 minutes.
-AJ-
As sad as is it will be to see some of the gross underbelly of professional hockey, I hope this is a step towards opening this stuff up and getting it out. I know Quennville is a great coach as far as results go, but I can't see how Florida can keep him after this. Fehr is probably gone too. I'm not sure what role Cheveldayoff had, but he might also be gone. The truth is that almost everyone working in the NHL is extremely passionate and to even be at this level, you need to have an almost unhealthy dedication, so it's not entirely surprising that these people would misprioritize winning over someone's security and mental health. 2
Popular Post SergioMomesso
Let’s see if the brotherhood of the NHLPA step up and demand accountability and pressure Fehr to resign and organizations to be rid of anyone who was involved in not helping Kyle when he reached out 4

Say what you want about our management, I can safely say that we've had guys who I would trust to do the right thing going back to Quinn. 1 1

At the very least, the regular push to acquire character guys suggest that. That said, no one's perfect and I've seen bigger shockers. I really respect Toews, but if he knew about this and didn't defend Beach or push things to management, that definitely lowers him in my esteem. I couldn't imagine the Twins letting something like that go unpunished.

I hope I'm wrong. In my mind, this is different than some dumb quote or action by a guy from 10 years ago where someone made a dumb move a long time ago and since regretted it. By keeping this a secret all those years, every one of those men was actively continuing to do Beach wrong. I'll be very disappointed if no more heads roll, so to speak. Maybe not everyone will be fired, but I really see this as a huge indictment on Quennville's character. If Babcock can lose his job, so can Quennville. 6
