Good point.

So next game when they can will we see any of them in the top 6?

Nope, we will see Highmore I bet.

Seems like Highmore deserves a bit longer of a look and besides Green had already said he wants to play both Gadjovich and Lockwood just isn't allowed until Sunday after Utica finishes their season. So quit your doom and gloom whining already

Terribly short sighted look wadr

Not really just looking at results.

Saying you’re not worried about top 10 picks from this GM when he’s had two big misses is kind of ignoring the facts.

Another season of missing the playoffs if we don’t change the coaching staff and upgrade the D.

I disagree. A full year of playing Cali teams and I think that barring any major injuries/a monumental collapse this team should be in a playoff spot with Demko probably playing 50+ games.

Baumer and Brown do need to go though.

Let's be fair and see what these D look like when actually playing a defensive game rather than simply spinning pirouettes in whatever Dumbgardener and his Greenthumb holiness have these guys playing. I can only imagine they'll all be in for a shock when taught what a NHL gap is, etc, but this team is far better than it shows in the standings. I know it's beating a dead horse, but that D-zone system these coachs employ is embarassingly stupid, and they are either unable, or unwilling to adapt.

Canucks fans already convincing themselves we don’t need a top pick?

Im sure those players are really good, problem is we need great players. Those players are harder to identify as you move towards 10 and later.

Look at Gillis record drafting and look where we are now.

We didn't even have anyone remotely close Hoglander under Gillis. Gaunce was literally his best fwd pick after a gifted Bo... LOL

do they?

Jake has 317 games in the hardest league in the world.

Ollie, despite a bad run of injury is now at 22 played.

So  I have no issue with drafting 5-9.

I'd like to draft sooner, but I don't worry about who they get later.

But wouldnt u rather draft #5 over #9?

High picks are really helping Buffalo aren't they?

Would it be great sure. But you can't expect players that want to win, just roll over and die. Yeah they are frustrated, angry, and may even not be happy. Or just plain having

a bad season.

But they have pride and won't lose on purpose.

Or as one ex NFL coach says: "You play to win the game."

Especially since we've had top 10 picks that played a handful of games, or even no NHL games.

The team itself is quite literally OUT of taxi-squad callups on the season.

Every team was given a certain #.

All those burnt call ups without use earlier, before covid, is to blame. Not the decisions being made now. Their hands are tied.

The limited number from what I recall is only applied after the deadline.
