People see that height and immediately goes against him.

Not wrong considering we are a team made of smurfs.

He’s 5 ft 11

there’s shorter players who went before him

Well.....Lucas Raymond was picked 4th overall in 2020, so he's good, and he scored 23 goals (57 pts) last season as a rookie.  It might be a realistic comparison one day. Sounds okay to me, but I think Lekkerimaki grows and fills out a bit more over the next few years.

I think with Podz there would have been a hesitation as we saw Tryamkin head back to Russia and Goldobin not pan out. We've had back luck with Russians as of late.

Make no mistake though, Podz was supposed to be #3 overall and it was only his Russia status, along with him not being given a big enough role on his team over there, that let him fall really.

No it wasn't. He dropped because his stats wasn't up to par with what you expect from a top 10 draftee during his year.

I know, that is why I hate imperial. Ain't much difference between 5'11 and 6'1 feet but that 5 in front scares a lot of people.

It is 1.80m to 1.85m so 5cm difference. That ain't a lot.
