Nevertheless, 2 and 2 equals 4, and both players and their agent know that. So I think the salary has been agreed upon, but I tjink the term and conditions are the sticking point. Fans are people, people have feelings and get frustrated. Fans also tend to get attached to players and it absolutely becomes personal for many of them. That's just how it goes. The rampant speculation and uncertainty hasn't helped either. Some folks are going to be more hopeful and optimistic, but that simply ain't going to be everyone. That doesn't make some folks lesser fans. It's not as if Vancouver fans haven't experienced things going sideways in the past. We'll see how things play out. Amebushi Posted September 30, 2021 Share Posted September 30, 2021 Let’s throw this out there. Here is my prediction. The players each have two complete deals ready to go. One is a bridge for both and the other is a longer term for each with a little higher AAV. Once the Hamonic situation is figured out (tomorrow I believe is the opt out deadline) all parties will know the available cap space.
