But give the man credit for when he wins. It's a team game, that means that the coach has a part in winning the game just as much as the players do, and when they lose, the coach has as much to blame as the players do. I'm just glad they won tonight. A relief. 2

According to expected goals we had a much more potent pp than the Rangers. The one pp goal by the rangers was a complete fluke off the stick. The second was the only high danger scoring chance the Canucks allowed on their PK outside of the Demko sequence. Take out that one sprawling sequence by Demko, we had a higher expected goals on our last power play alone than the Rangers had on their first 4 power plays combined. We were Rindiculous 1

Also at his age they were never tasked with being the primary offensive threat on a first line. The Sedins and Naslund were 4th liners at league minimum at his age, and they still didn't play as bad as his first 10 this season. Admittedly they didn't get as much ice time to play awful in.

Hamonic just got back, and Schenn has been only in a few games this season so far. Glad it worked, though. Old school, physical defending. ShawnAntoski
Not sure if this is obvious but Myers is a train wrecked in the PK cause of his inability to clear the zone. Prior, to Demko doing an impression of Hasek he had a chance to clear the zone but ( as usual) he flubbed on his clearing attempt. If the staff has any sense, they should practice clearing the zone with a full court press pressuring the puck carrier - especially, Myers. Podkolzin and Höglander have some chemsitry it seems off the ice. You think maybe it translates onto the ice.

I'm just glad they won tonight. A relief. He didn’t win $&!#. He was a passenger in this win train. The team won on their own effort. Particularly Demko, Miller, Podz and several others who upped their play individually. Green was his usual blender/blunder self. Green deserves no praise or credit for this win. Edit- And Garland! How could I have forgotten to mention probably our best forward tonight. Edited November 3, 2021 by Sharpshooter 3

Horvat, Boeser, and Pettersson really need to start playing more consistently. Demko again showing Vezina quality goaltending. If his effort doesn't create a desire to give it your all, im not sure what else will. His level of goaltending is giving me Luongo vibes the way he restores your faith in the team. Yeah whatever Green does, he better keep Garland with Miller. I don't even care now how long it takes Elias, Boeser and Horvat to get going here. Our defense is playing well and we have Hoglander, Podkolzin and Bailey who are keeping their heads above water.
