Bought them this season because of the optimism associated with the new players and also because of COVID, I was able to save quite a bit of money over the last two years that would have been spent on my yearly travels. I take this refusal to make changes as a big F*CK YOU to me personally followed by "we already have your money." Francesco, F*CK YOU. This team is a disgrace. Most people here have been fans for many decades. Myself since 90's so that's 3 decades and going into the 4th decade (90's, 2000's, 2010's, and going into 2020's). Some people here have been fans for longer. We may have had teams that lacked in the skills department but the Canucks team that I fell in love with always played hard and with heart and did not shy away from physical play. Yes, hockey has changed but the fundamentals of the game hasn't. You still need to go to the boards and go to the net to score goals. And you still have to block shots to prevent goals. You still have to take the physical punishments that come with doing the things that get you wins. This team is Edmonton Oilers of 2010s. Bunch of skill players that lose every board battle and never able to block a shot, and amateur coaching staff that don't have any idea what's going on and how to fix the problem. It's a disgrace that three best players on this team along the boards are a rookie (Podkolzin), 5'9 sophomore (Hoglander), and 5'7 (Garland). Are you f*cking kidding me? Now, Jim. I love what you have done up to 2019-2020. You didn't take the fastest route. You did make few blunders like signing Player Name. But the overall upward progression was clear and I believed that we were truly 2 years away from contending. But to lose the pulses of the team like the way you did only to assemble a bunch of soft players resembling Edmonton Oilers of 2010s... What the f*ck were you thinking? Or were you even thinking? The team played well today. It showed off the speed, skill, and finesse. But no f*cking player blocks a shot. How the f*ck are you going to win a game if scoring a goal is damn f*cking hard while giving up easy goals? How many breakaways do we get in a game? How many do we give up? And I don't care if it's Boeser or 7 million dollar men Hughes or Pettersson. Block the f*cking shots! Don't f*cking stand around helplessly in the board battles. Go engage in the puck battle and win it!! Will yourself! I can't wait for COVID to be over so I can go back to travelling. I think they are in the worst type of funk. They are unhappy they lost the game but have no answers and no confidence so they go out next game and do the same thing all over again.
